Mexico 70 - Sunderland - Photo album

Staff were friendly and welcoming, they walked me through the menu. There is a good selection of soft shell tacos on the menu all with a fusion style twist. I ordered a Baja Cod taco which was really tasty but the stand out was the Vietnamese Beef. The meat was tender and well seasoned and every ing
Very cool place to eat or have some cocktails. We got three Tacos each and some Fries, which was the perfect amount. The service was very friendly and helpful. Each taco is brought out when it is ready, which helps keep things fresh.
Really, really good food. Cocktails were excellent and interesting, and the service was spot on. The soft shell taco with pulled beef was unreal! Really good vegan options too. Only thing I'd not order again was the guac -£6 for a few nachos and guac when you can get more chips or another taco for l
Delicious fresh food, brill atmosphere and great service. This is a Mexican Tapas style restaurant where 3 taco Tapas each is recommended. Theres a large variety of Tapas. I had muergez, prawn and the vietnamese beef. Each was generous and full of fresh flavours. We shared nachos with delicious guac
Third time visiting yesterday, basically tried the full menu by this point. Can't recommend this place enough. Food, drinks, service and atmosphere have been faultless every time. Impressive 3:2 meat:vegan taco ratio, without skimping on vegan options for sides and extras. In my experience, it's rar
First time we have visited Mexico 70 and it certainly won't be the last! We have been desperate to find somewhere local that does great Mexican street food and this has not disappointed. From the second we walked in the door, we were given such a warm welcome and provided with recommendations of foo
Visited here last Monday. Great food. Great drinks. Our server George was amazing- single handedly taking food and drink orders, bringing food out and doing check backs. Nice atmosphere and amazing margaritas. Will be back / although I can’t help feel the stress of only having 2 people on shift tint
First time visiting here and certainly won't be the last. Lovely Mexican tacos and equal split of meat/fish to vegan ratio. I'm pescatarian so ordered a couple of fish and couple of vegan tacos. We shared loaded Crayfish fries which were lovely. Margarita cocktails went down a treat before the the
A must visit in Sunderland! Couldn't fault the staff with how friendly and informative they were. The owner took our food order and suggested complimentary dishes to what we were ordering which definitely upgraded our meals. We got 3 tacos each, 3 sides, 2 fries and extra bread between 3 of us which
I rarely think anywhere is worthy of a review, so when I say this place is incredible I really do mean it. Everything we had was amazing. The Korean pork belly taco might be one of the most enjoyable bites I’ve ever had. Top notch service and excellent cocktails rounded out a wonderful meal. Don’t
First time here and first time trying home made soft tacos. First of all the staff are lovely and very friendly. My husband is a vegetarian, there was loads of choice for him which was great. You are advised to choose 3 tacos and sides. We chose 3 tacos each, pickled veg and 2 portions of chips. The
Delicious food (mostly tacos), wonderful service, decent prices. Great vegan options for the vegans out there. Simple as that really!
My goodness, probably one of the nicest most delicious meals I've had in a long while the flavours were amazing could have eaten more but that would just have been greedy and it would have spoiled it, my ice cold corona, lime & tequila cocktail with thyme was delish. The staff were excellent explain
Very eclectic street food menu. We really enjoyed all of our tacos, buffalo wings and dirty fries. It is pricey 3.50 for one small taco with no sides but it very good. We will be back.
Friendly atmosphere and great food. Taco Tuesday meant even better value. First visit with my son and daughter in law who are regulars and love it.
Very nice. Surprisingly so. Still a tad too "cool" for me, but enjoyable nonetheless. Friendly service, good choice of food, outstanding margarita.
Trendy restaurant with great cocktails. One person in our group had a allergy and she was well looked after. Highly recommended.
The rustic decor and friendly service make this a great place to visit before a show at the Empire Theatre. The tequila menu (get the Don Julio Reposado!) and tacos are tasty and help to get the evening (and the party) started.
