Had an amazing lunch out with my boys today in Birchfield's new Jersey Barn Cafe. Lovely decor and surroundings and spoilt for choice with the mouthwatering menu but opted for pie of the day, Steak and Ale with new potatoes. Oh my, it was the best I've ever had, huge portion size and the gravy....just wow. Wish I had my phone with me to take a picture as the food was so beautifully presented. The children had haddock gougons and homemade chunky chips, again fabulous portion sizes. Huge compliments to the chef. Super fast service too. Thank you Birchfield, every visit just gets better and better. Planning our next lunch date. The Frasers :)

Have driven past the signs too many times and today we went! Very lucky with the weather and loved our visit from start to finish. Lots of gorgeous animals, so well looked after and the cafe was fab too. Staff so helpful, caring with the animals and kids too and really informative. We’ll be back and definitely recommend to everyone we know! Thank you (perfect ice cream too).

After numerous friends telling me about this place I finally visited on Monday with my 5yr old son. It was such a lovely place, we picked our pumpkin, he had a tractor ride, we carved our pumpkins, fed the seeds to the pigs, saw calfs, pigs, sheep etc. He had a play in the park and we had lunch and ice cream at the cafe. Good was lovely and every staff member we met was so lovely and friendly. We will definitely return and recommend

Fabulous day pumpkin picking. The food was delicious in the cafe, it was very busy at one point and there was a wait but this was to be expected. Great value for money, we weren't robbed of our money for a nice family day out. Will definitely go back

First time visiting just before Easter and was pleasantly surprised by how much there is to do and see. 2.5 year old loved being able to stroke the guinea pigs, donkeys and little horses, and to be able to see cows and turkeys up close. Ground was a bit squelchy so definitely wear wellies if it's been raining. Location is breathtaking, with plenty of parking. Animals look happy and well cared for. Staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Spacious baby change toilet. Ice cream was very good but savoury food offering could be improved. Not many vegetarian options and only one (plain cheese toasties) was left by the time we got to the front of the long queue. Would love to see a wider range of options. Aside from that, fantastic visit and we'll definitely be back.

A lovely calm Sunday day out. Cows, donkeys, ponies, pigs with their piglets, goats, guinea pigs, ducklings, chicks, and sheep with their lambs. Our admission gave us the opportunity to feed a baby lamb (this treat i believe is season dependant) we had a little queue and got to hold a bottle where a hungry lamb was guided up to our chair and it chugged the bottle down. The play area is fantastic, aimed at children with the walking ability and upwards. If your brave enough to venture over the stream there is a little woodland adventure to be had (not suitable for buggy’s). The cafe was so clean, really fast service and great food. Childs sandwich came with crisps. We both had a toasty and ordered a portion of chips to share between us all. Toilet facilities were also great and I saw baby changing facilities and a lot of high chairs available. Cutlery and sauces brought to your table with your order, best to give your table number when ordering. There is lots of picnic benches and there was hand washing facilities after seeing the animals. The newest barn held two bouncy castles too. Cafe also offered sweet cakes and ice-creams.

Amazing place! Wonderful day out for a toddler; he didn’t want to leave! Lovely hands on activities with the animals, lots of outdoor play spaces and a wonderful covered work vehicles area and bouncy castles. Delightful and friendly staff and everything bright and clean. We had generous and tasty sandwiches in the lovely cafe for lunch and there are nice loos and a baby change. Would thoroughly recommend.

We had our twins birthday here at the weekend. It was absolutely fantastic. The staff were amazing. Our twins and all the other guests had a brilliant time. They especially enjoyed feeding the lambs, petting the guinea pigs and the farm ride. We’ve been twice before and loved it as well. They ice cream is delicious .

Absolutely love this little place! Been here a couple times, once for pumpkin picking, and this year for strawberry picking. Great place for families, partners, friends. Really feels good and fun to do it yourself, a great experience and memory! Pumpkin picking 2 years ago was with a group of friends and some of us carved our pumpkins after and fed the guts to the goats, followed by a trip round to see the other animals. Strawberry picking was just me and a friend, and it was a cute activity to do and get some lovely fresh strawberries out of it at the end, for a good price, too! Then we decided to try the cafe and grab some ice cream (strawberry+blueberry, raspberry ripple+cotton candy) before heading home. The man who served us was so lovely and friendly. Can't wait to come again and hopefully see sunflowers and do pumpkins again this year!!

Fantastic pumpkin patch and farm. Great parking. Helpful staff. Fair priced pumpkins and even a wash station to make sure you can take home clean pumpkins. Lovley cake and coffee. Clean toilets, bit of a queue but to be expected on a busy day.

A really lovely day out with lots of fun things to do children. You can feed the lambs and pet the guinea pigs as well as play on the little tractors, bouncy castles and the playground. There is also a woodland trail. The price is very reasonable (although the cafe was more on the expensive side) as you really can spend the full day there. I would say though that it's definitely a good-weather day place to visit as a lot of the things are outside. Would definitely recommend this farm if you have children and are looking for a low-cost day out!

Great Ice cream. The farm is great in spring with Easter activities for little ones. Good space to run around and play. Animal experiences are main attraction
