Took a lovely circular walk along the marshes/estuary, great views of Southwold and beyond. Stopped for coffee and a snack at the restaurant. Service was excellent and food lovely. All dog friendly and accessible to all. Ample parking as there's an overflow field. Only downside was there were no visible dog waste bins.
11 of us came for breakfast it was very good. Plenty of choice on the menu. A very clean, spacious restaurant with large windows, giving good views over the marshes. Friendly and polite staff, clean toilets and plenty of free parking
Lovely food and good-sized portions. Service was a bit slow but there was a rush as we arrived and everything was freshly cooked, so understandable. A large open area with tables well spaced.
Only one toilet, so maybe a good idea to go before you go. Plenty of parking space.
Will go back on better weather and try one of the walks which we've heard are lovely.

Great location, great staff who were happy, friendly and attentive with plenty of options on the menu as well as being dog friendly. The platter was beautifully presented and tasted as good as it looked, faultless in fact. Plenty of options on the drinks menu as well and in my opinion everything is priced well and good value for its money. Nothing negative to say just a pity we are only staying in the area for a week.

Very busy, so I would recommend booking ahead unless you are a very early bird.

We enjoyed another lovely lunch at Old Hall Café with a friend this weekend. All of us ordered the crayfish sandwich with Scotch eggs on the side. We weren’t expecting such a large and generously filled sandwich for £8, especially when the filling was crayfish. The Scotch egg was also delicious, even though we didn’t need it in hindsight. Fantastic value for money and brilliant service.
