The best cheese and ham toasty I've ever had! When we arrived we were directed to the secure bike shed to lock our bikes up. The interior is bright, fashionable and the staff are welcoming. The menu is full of homemade dishes and I even had a homemade cordial to drink. Would totally recommend to any passing cyclists, walkers or anyone looking for a tasty lunch.
Really a great place to stop by, especially when cycling. Well done to the owner and I hope you continue to build a nice independent business. Coffee is right on the money.
Delicious home made food, alongside a well chosen and interesting selection of wine and beer. All very reasonably priced. Fantastic coffee and delicious home made cakes and buns. The breakfast muffin and a flat white hit the spot for breakfast! The Cyclist is Scandinavian cool, whilst also feeling friendly, warm and local. Would recommend, and will definitely be going back!
Excellent food in a casual atmosphere. Can heartily recommend the coffee; espresso was delish and served in a hot cup. Lunch was a toasted ham and cheese sandwich on sourdough with salad, it was inexpensive and thoughtfully put together with quality ingredients.
We enjoyed all of this so much we went to one of the tasting dinners in the evening. This was excellent value, very tasty and included some interesting information about where all the food and drink had come from.
The garden has storage for bikes and is pleasant both during the day and in the evening. An excellent stop if you're cycling in the area.
I havent mentioned the cakes, it would be best to find out about these first hand.
Top location.
Absolutely loved this place. Log burner, delicious fresh food, local beer and a great selection of carefully chosen wines. There was a really lovely atmosphere at this pub, we didn’t want to leave! Theo and and Boris the owners were really welcoming and helpful. Can’t fault it. Will definitely return! 5/5

Probably the best bacon sandwich I’ve ever had. Great sourdough bread, super tasty, sweet cured, thick cut bacon and green stuff.
Hardly any queue and £10 for a great sandwich, v good flapjack, coffee, porridge and a banana? Bargain.
A huge thank-you to Theo and his team at The Cyclist. Held my partner's surprise party here last weekend. Not only did Theo keep in touch (and reassure me!) with emails regarding the arrangements and proposed menus, but was more than happy to make any adjustments where needed. The food was fabulous and friends are still texting me to say how delicious, varied and interesting the dishes were. The team were attentive and helpful but very modest in their approach. The atmosphere very chilled and easy (for me!)
Would highly recommend others holding any party/function to get in touch with Theo. We all had a great time, thank-you so much!!
Lovely place with good coffee and cakes. We didn't try the food. It's a shame it took so long to serve our group, although admittedly 15 of us arrived all at once. They might benefit from a better till setup, rather than laboriously entering everything via a mobile phone.

Wonderful place. Great small menu with simple and delicious food - how it should be. Small selection of local beer that was tasty and reasonably priced. Lovely atmosphere, minimal decor and music was on point.
If you want a good fry up or a classic pub meal, go elsewhere. If you are keen on freshly prepared meals using fresh local ingredients, some from the back of the cafe, then stop in and enjoy what they have decided to offer for the fortnight. There is not a huge menu, but we loved all of it. They serve Union Coffee and a great local ale. We had meatballs, a small pizza, bruschetta, a cheese board with mostly local cheeses, apple crumble, beers, and coffee for 3 for less than £60. For breakfast we had avocado toast with fresh eggs, home made granola, more bruschetta and too much coffee (still shaking). It was great to see a group of Middle Age Men in Lycra (MAMILs) there this morning.
The cafe is sparse inside, not filled with unnecessary junk. The small fireplace gave a homey and chilled feel to the place. The chairs are not super comfortable, but certainly adequate.
This cafe is clearly well thought out and the owner is clearly passionate about what they are doing. I hope we can stop by again soon -- gutted that the Cyclist is not close by. Best of luck to them.
Our business recently held a strategy day in the meeting room at The Cyclist. The day was attended by our top managers and Directors and all were very impressed. We had full privacy, full use of WifI/ state of the art IT facilities, lunch was brought to the table for us and we were well looked after without being intruded upon. We would highly recommend it especially for team meetings that need to be held away from your normal office environment.
Unfortunately, I fell off my bike on the Dunwich Dynamo. Fortunately, it was just outside this café, where the staff gave me first aid, arranged a ride to a and e and even stored my bike in their shed overnight at no extra cost.
The food that I did have here was fantastic and service was with a smile.
Would recommend to all, but especially cyclists!
Theo and team, well done on catering for hundreds of us riding the Dunwich Dynamo. Great atmosphere, food and coffee. Will try and organise a ride that ends here as it was a shame we had to leave. Best Ian
Delicious home made food, excellent pale ale and coffee. A great place to laze with the papers/laptop, especially in front of the woodburning stove - bliss!
Great place, it was very busy but we were served very quickly. And this was half 1 in the morning too during the Dunwich Dynamo!!
Delicious and carefully selected draft beers, wonderful food and a great vibe! Will definitely be back soon!
Well worth a visit. Good food. You will be made welcome. Dogs welcome you can even buy your dog a treat !
