Perfect little tea room! Booked a table for 7 including a toddler on bank holiday Monday and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Scones and cakes are amazing and lovely sandwiches for little ones. My daughters loved their huge milkshake and we enjoyed a delicious cup of loose leaf tea. Will definitely be returning

Had a really lovely afternoon tea as a surprise for my wife, staff were all very friendly and helpful even after breaking a tea pot lid (very sorry about that), the table was reserved and decorated for us when we arrived. We will definitely be going back. Darren and Sarah.

I booked an afternoon tea for four as part of my 70th birthday celebrations and was very pleased with everything. Amanda, the owner looked after us and was very friendly and attentive, the tea was delicious and her scones were some of the nicest I’ve eaten in a long time. We all loved the 1940s music and it set the atmosphere perfectly. We will recommend to our friends and will certainly be back soon to sample some of her other cakes & light lunches.

I visited the strawberry teapot with my son today. A belated mothers treat. Every thing about the place is lovely. My only gripe is and it's all tea shops they never do plain scones. But would go back again.

My little girl had her birthday party here today, and I can’t recommend it enough. We came for The Beauty and The Beast afternoon tea and wow it was amazing! So much time had been taken to plan even the smallest of details, if you are looking for somewhere to have a party like nothing you’ve been to before, then this is the venue for you. Thank you so much for having us all x

Utterly welcoming staff , nothing was too much trouble and completely inclusive of my young nieces age 3 and 6. Beautiful tearoom with the loveliest staff - wish I could give it more than 5 stars - will definitely be a returning customer xx

Such a lovely little tea room. I went there yesterday with a friend for the first time. The brie panini was amazing and there is so many cakes to choose from I wanted them all. Amanda was very welcoming and polite. I have just purchased an afternoon tea voucher as I can't wait to go back. See you again soon xx

To the wonderful owner and staff at Strawberry Teapot, My story starts with a trip planned to this cafe with my mum for her birthday, and will hopefully help to reassure other wheelchair/powerchair-reliant customers :) Accessibility: The owner had a conversation with us to tell us about their accessibility (there is a step at the front of the store, but access to the outdoor seating behind the cafe without steps). - I use a powerchair, which can't, unfortunately, be lifted up with the help of others, but other smaller wheelchairs will still be able to be lifted up past the step on the front door. Despite this powerchair hurdle, we sat outdoors, which was beautifully arranged with summer plants. Food Allergies/ Dietary requirements: My family is a mix of vegetarian, vegan, and meat-eater people, which was no problem at all to the staff at the Strawberry Teapot! We had booked in for an afternoon tea and were served three separate food servings (a three-tier cake stand per person), filled with sandwiches, cake, scones, and biscuits. These were delectable, and we were even allowed to take the cakes we didn't eat home with us (they were too good to leave behind!). Overall, we had an absolutely wonderful time and will not hesitate to book again. If I could, I would fetch fresh scones every weekend (they were THAT good). Thank you to all the staff there that helped to make the afternoon tea special, you are all wonderful people, and I have no doubt that you will make every other customer's experience just as wonderful. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

Very lovely little place. I loved that it served coffee in a cafetiere and it offered the option of strong or medium strength. The food is also amazing they had lovely cakes and sandwiches. They are willing to adjust the items on the menu on request, for example I wanted a different sauce. The staff was amazing, and so was the service. I was lucky to seat at a table close to the kitchen and they were just amazing, always willing to adjust to customer's demands and helpful. All in all it a great experience.

Had tea for two at the Strawberry tea pot over the weekend. It is a lovely independent tea room and if you're in the area I highly recommend you stop by, the staff were friendly, and the ambience was very cosy. The food was excellent and is made to order, the cakes were superb, they were able to cater for gluten free on both sandwiches and cakes which is excellent for those that need it. All in all a very relaxing and enjoyable experience, this is the kind of place we should all be supporting, I will happily be going back at some point.

Were passing by this lovely tearooms, but unfortunately they were closed. The owner see us looking and let us in early. They are so polite and friendly, and their hospitality was second to none. They gave us our drinks for free and some homemade shortbread for our shift. The bakewell cake was too die for along with the cones and my crew mate said his bacon sandwich was the best ever!!! They have a great selection on their memu and we loved the quaintness of this place. I will definitely be returning here with my mum and future students. Thankyou so much, East of England Ambulance Service

Could not fault this place. Six of us booked for a special event. The owner bakes and makes everything herself, we had 4 vegetarians, 1 meat eater and 1 vegan and everyone was catered for. The service was quick and the food was amazing. The scones were absolutely incredible! All staff were lovely. Could not believe a vegan afternoon tea was offered and I still got beautiful sandwiches, two different types of scones (including a fake cheese one) and a choice of cakes!!! Can’t stop telling people about this place! Very good food and a cute tea shop.

This is my favourite place to pop into for lunch and a pot of tea with the wife. It’s always a relaxing atmosphere with a qwerty / unique vintage theme. The women that runs this place is so lovely and she’s never too busy to have a chat. My wife sometimes has a milkshake too which she says is amazing. We have had afternoon tea before (for my birthday last year) which again was amazing... my wife can’t have any fish or raw egg, which they catered for no problem. If your passing through Sudbury it’s definitely worth a visit!!

We had a lovely afternoon tea for two. Amanda is a fantastic baker and prepared me the most delicious GF spread. Cakes were delicious as were the scones. We loved it. Really cool and quirky little tea room.

Thank-you so much for the afternoon tea you delivered to my parents, they thoroughly enjoyed it, especially the lemon drizzle cake! Amanda was so helpful even though our only contact was via email. She took note of dietary requirements as requested. Just a small comment which could help your business, when you deliver a box maybe you could include a business card as my parents had no idea where it had come from! Now I have told them they have said they would definitely come in for tea and cake when they are in town. Thank you so much for amazing service.

My Husband and I came here on a spare of the moment drive out to Sudbury and I'd said I really fancied a scone....this place didn't disappoint! Very cute and cosy atmosphere, very friendly staff and DELICIOUS scones! The homemade cakes looked so good too so we took a slice each home with us...yum! 😋

Had a family afternoon tea yesterday. Sat at a window table with the world going by and tucked into fresh sandwiches, big well made scones and followed with a good cake choice. All drink varieties you would want. Made to feel very welcome by owner and daughter. Give the big names a miss and enjoy!
