Fantastic little tearoom! Cute decor and friendly, helpful, staff. We had omelettes and cakes and then took home scones. My cheese scone was delicious and the gluten free scones were the best that my friend had ever tasted! I wish we lived nearer..

This gorgeous little tea shop is - thank goodness - very close to my house. My "lunching ladies" visit it regularly so I was very worried when I got my Coeliac diagnosis recently, that all that was over 😟. I rang and was completely reassured by the owner's daughter who is coeliac herself and her mum does the cooking. So I know there is awareness and experience of what GF protocols are required. I had a lovely lunch and felt completely welcome. I recommend Strawberry Teapot without hesitation - give them a ring 1st so they know you're coming.

We had an afternoon tea. The tearoom is lovely, intimate and decorated to a 20s style. The service was excellent, welcoming, attentive and very friendly. The Food was fantastic... all looked and tasted very fresh... and definitely homemade. Couldn't fault it. We would highly recommend an afternoon tea here and we will visit the tearoom again for sure next time we're in sudbury. Thank you

My Wife and I popped in for food and drink. My Wife had gluten free panini . I went for the Make your own omelette which was mushroom , cheese , bacon . Lovely and fluffy omelette with plenty of filling inside , crisps and salad complementary with the food. Staff very friendly and polite . Would recommend coming here. Gluten free options available.

Found this charming tearoom when visiting. Food was delicious, don’t normally eat cakes but the Bakewell was divine, Definitely on my list of favourites to come back too.

Very lovely little place. I loved that it served coffee in a cafetiere and it offered the option of strong or medium strength. The food is also amazing they had lovely cakes and sandwiches. They are willing to adjust the items on the menu on request, for example I wanted a different sauce. The staff was amazing, and so was the service. I was lucky to seat at a table close to the kitchen and they were just amazing, always willing to adjust to customer's demands and helpful. All in all it a great experience.

To the wonderful owner and staff at Strawberry Teapot, My story starts with a trip planned to this cafe with my mum for her birthday, and will hopefully help to reassure other wheelchair/powerchair-reliant customers :) Accessibility: The owner had a conversation with us to tell us about their accessibility (there is a step at the front of the store, but access to the outdoor seating behind the cafe without steps). - I use a powerchair, which can't, unfortunately, be lifted up with the help of others, but other smaller wheelchairs will still be able to be lifted up past the step on the front door. Despite this powerchair hurdle, we sat outdoors, which was beautifully arranged with summer plants. Food Allergies/ Dietary requirements: My family is a mix of vegetarian, vegan, and meat-eater people, which was no problem at all to the staff at the Strawberry Teapot! We had booked in for an afternoon tea and were served three separate food servings (a three-tier cake stand per person), filled with sandwiches, cake, scones, and biscuits. These were delectable, and we were even allowed to take the cakes we didn't eat home with us (they were too good to leave behind!). Overall, we had an absolutely wonderful time and will not hesitate to book again. If I could, I would fetch fresh scones every weekend (they were THAT good). Thank you to all the staff there that helped to make the afternoon tea special, you are all wonderful people, and I have no doubt that you will make every other customer's experience just as wonderful. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

Had tea for two at the Strawberry tea pot over the weekend. It is a lovely independent tea room and if you're in the area I highly recommend you stop by, the staff were friendly, and the ambience was very cosy. The food was excellent and is made to order, the cakes were superb, they were able to cater for gluten free on both sandwiches and cakes which is excellent for those that need it. All in all a very relaxing and enjoyable experience, this is the kind of place we should all be supporting, I will happily be going back at some point.

Could not fault this place. Six of us booked for a special event. The owner bakes and makes everything herself, we had 4 vegetarians, 1 meat eater and 1 vegan and everyone was catered for. The service was quick and the food was amazing. The scones were absolutely incredible! All staff were lovely. Could not believe a vegan afternoon tea was offered and I still got beautiful sandwiches, two different types of scones (including a fake cheese one) and a choice of cakes!!! Can’t stop telling people about this place! Very good food and a cute tea shop.

Were passing by this lovely tearooms, but unfortunately they were closed. The owner see us looking and let us in early. They are so polite and friendly, and their hospitality was second to none. They gave us our drinks for free and some homemade shortbread for our shift. The bakewell cake was too die for along with the cones and my crew mate said his bacon sandwich was the best ever!!! They have a great selection on their memu and we loved the quaintness of this place. I will definitely be returning here with my mum and future students. Thankyou so much, East of England Ambulance Service

This is my favourite place to pop into for lunch and a pot of tea with the wife. It’s always a relaxing atmosphere with a qwerty / unique vintage theme. The women that runs this place is so lovely and she’s never too busy to have a chat. My wife sometimes has a milkshake too which she says is amazing. We have had afternoon tea before (for my birthday last year) which again was amazing... my wife can’t have any fish or raw egg, which they catered for no problem. If your passing through Sudbury it’s definitely worth a visit!!
