We went in yesterday (03/10/16) and had a tea for two and a piece of passion cake for myself and a sausage roll for my hubby. The tea was very good & the cake was so yummy and really moist!! The sausage roll looked fab & my hubby said it was very good!! Lovely little place & very friendly table service. Will definitely go again when in Sudbury next! Thank you!

What a lovely spot to have some lunch or a lush afternoon tea, everything I’ve tasted so far, and I’ve been here many times, it has been absolutely delicious. Savoury and sweet, do treat yourself with some eggs Benedict or Quiche and don’t leave the place without a scone or a slice of cake, that Blueberry one was dreamy and if you like the classic Victoria sponge you’ll taste one of the best you’ve ever tasted. You always have a laugh and banter with the amazing staff and I’m sure you’ll share some nice memories with every visit 😉

Very pleasantly surprised walking through the door, you’re greeted by friendly staff . I love the rustic furniture makes for a great atmosphere, looking around all the different crockery and collections of teapots. I managed to get 3 cups out of my teapot, followed by falafel in a toasted baguette with cheese, accompanied by salad Garnish very nice indeed. Great, smells coming from the kitchen. I was told by a member of staff that they bake cakes freshly every day.. Also, I noticed that the customers seem to know everybody And his dog, friendly, too. I definitely want to visit again when I’m next up that way Try something different on the menu .

Unplanned visit for breakfast provided a hearty full English accompanied by avocado with poached eggs on toast, equally good. Recommended. Another visit today, very pleasant late lunch. Good service and helpful staff. The addition of a Deli counter is a bonus. Very much recommended. No change still great value. ............ditto..........🙂. 2 visits since last review. Still good value and recommended. If you not visited yet - do so, You will not be disappointed 😥. This is my favourite cafe/tea room in Sudbury. Good food, good prices and nice staff. Thank you all. 🙂👍 Fresh visit today. Standards still maintained. Thanks to all. 👍

Lovely little place. Very quiet when I arrived but filled up after 20 minutes or so. Staff are lovely, the cakes.looked gorgeous (my toasted teacake was full of juicy raisins and utterly yummy) and the coffee was great. Beware - the glass it came in was double thickness and the coffee stayed boiling hot - bit of scorching to the old tongue!! 👅 Definitely going back.

Visited here with family this week and had breakfast. Six people had five different dishes and it was all outstandingly good - beautifully cooked and presented and piping hot. Proper tea in a teapot, friendly atmosphere, could not recommend more highly.

We stopped off in this lovely little cafe today by pure chance of not feeling it in another establishment. What a little gem. Fantastic lasagna. Friendly staff. We will definitely be back for the afternoon tea that we saw someone else enjoying.

This is lovely and delightful little tea room/cafe. The food is delicious, the customer service is great (can not fault it) and the atmosphere is cosy and friendly. I went vegan last year and I could not see any options on the menu but when I asked if I could have the vegetarian breakfast as vegan, they were so hospitable and produced the most delicious vegan fried breakfast for me. The chief even came out to check it was ok and asked what diary free milk and butter replacements I think are best. I went back this week and the chief outdid himself with the breakfast and the presentation, they had even got the diary free butter I recommend. I highly recommend this cafe.
