Just had our club Christmas meal, awesome place, the staff were amazing and the food was excellent. Will be going back as I didn't get through all the ciders. Well done all.
Brilliant in everyway. Fantastically varied beers, beautiful venue, top food and great staff.
Love this place. Beautiful setting, great beer and friendly staff (especially the landlord Mick). Get yourself down there for eddyfest too every august bank holiday
Great pub , out in country, tricky to find but well worth it , good selection of ales, excellent food, baguettes to posh grub . Nice campsite , quiet and peaceful with Eco credentials. The staff are friendly and super helpful , one of my favourite places to spend a lazy chilled weekend.
Awesome location fantastic food all served with a happy smile.. Thank you for a wonderful Xmas meal for the Suffolk Veedub Transporters club..

Myself and family were there last night as part of the SVT group. Food and staff were incredible. You went out of your way to accommodate us (chips for my son). Thank you so much.
(Review of pub only) We were staying at a B&B minutes away and decided to stop here for dinner. So glad we did. Thoroughly unique pub highlighted by a immense selection of beers including several brewed onsite. (The staff were more than happy to recommend.) Food is house-made sourdough pizza - excellent and extremely reasonable prices. (On the night we were there a food truck seving burgers was also in residence.)
The inside was heaving with people (and dogs) by 6 PM, even on a weekday, so be prepared to sit outside (plenty of outdoor seating) or just get there early.
First camp of 2024, warm and cosy in caravan and in the pub. Good value camping fee. Our second visit and will be back again soon.
Highly recommend a winter visit here, lovely selection of hot drinks including mulled cider. Huge selection of ales, local real ales as well as those from Little Earth Project microbrewery. Food choice is enough to please most, food vans on weekends, homemade sourdough pizzas, local meat and cheese platters. Friendly staff who offer great service but also make time for people, makes for a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Great for the dog, extensive walks nearby and dog friendly in both bars. Staff are very accommodating and informative about the 'untamed beers'. It's a real taste adventure. Regular music events and beer festival.
Really nice pub with camping pitches. The grass was a little long and facilities basic but all you need. The water is really hot so easy to wash and clean everything. We’d be back because the pub is so lovely and perfectly simple and delicious food in pretty surroundings.
We stayed at the White Horse Inn campsite over the bank holiday weekend and had a lovely time. We had a standard grass pitch no electric hookup as we have a panel van with a leisure battery although there were a few pitches that did offer electric if you need it.
The campsite is basic but does offer a washing up station, showers and toilets, the site is a little tired but perfectly usable and has big pitches for you to set up. It is a little strange when paying as you pay per person not per pitch but it does make it very cheap if you are staying solo.
The site is dog and child friendly and assigns you a pitch in check in, the pub itself is very nice inside and offers lots of outside seating as well as indoors. I was told that they brew their own beer but I cannot comment on this as I didn't use the pub.
If you're looking for a simple site then this will tick your boxes, it has a beautiful woodland area that you can walk through and a long walk that takes you to a nearby village.
I would return to this site again as we enjoyed our stay, my one gripe would be that we had a few children who's parents let run wild and it can be annoying if you're trying to read or relax. I do have children myself however if we do take them we try to make sure they don't disturb or disrupt others stay so might be worth asking when booking if they have any family bookings if you prefer a quieter stay
Great little spot and added bonus that the pub is a short walk from your tent! Great food too and lots of choice of beers. Would recommend starting at the top of the chalkboard and working your way down, you must try them all!
What a pub. Whether you're wanting modern sour beers, real ales or anything in between this is your place - and what a place! Food is also epic!
Lovely location in the countryside. A very environmentally freindly pub, brewery and campsite with solar power where practical and natural surroundings with bird feeders and other facilities encouraging wildlife. Closed Monday n Tuesday.
Recommend booking a pitch and spending a couple of nights sampling a few of the many home brewed beers.
On site brewery, wide selection of craft ales, on site camping (27 pitches, 4 with electric hookup), great atmosphere, friendly, helpful staff. Limited but delicious menu in the week, with an additional range of pizzas available weekends. Shut Mondays and Tuesdays, but take out beer and wine available from the brewery. Great venue for a get together.
The beer, cider & sourdough is so good I love stopping by at weekends. Such a great vibe to the place, you can feel they've got something special going on here
What an absolute gem and thank goodness it was thriving. Visited first for a beer or two and a marvellous selection on tap as well as bottles. Came back the next day to get their pizzas as a takeaway and the sourdough pizzas was lovely and even a gluten free option. Superb
Great pub with a nice atmosphere and really friendly and helpful staff. They’ve got a selection of their own brewed beer and serve tasty pizza and ploughman’s platters. Not busy on the Sunday we went, but it was pretty hot so everyone was probably at the beach. 🥵☀️they’d sadly run out of the lovely pork pie I had on the previous day when I went today 🥺😋
Amazing beer selection. Tasty pizzas to soak those up. Cosy stove and comfy sofa (if you can bag it) otherwise plenty of tables. Lovely bar staff and overall great vibes. Super relaxed and tucked away retreat for a couple of nights away.
Love this pub, microbrewery, campsite in a rural setting not far from Sudbury. I've only camped when the site is quiet and the showers and toilet facilities were fine and at a reasonable price. The pub has a really chilled atmosphere and there is a fantastic selection of beers and ciders from the Little Earth Project microbrewery and guest breweries. I couldn't make up my mind so the best option was to get a flight of beers. Also a selection of alcoholic free beers, I love having the german radler if I'm driving. Food is available Friday, Saturday and Saturday. The selection of cheese and charcuterie boards are excellent, simple food really well done. Other pubs and restaurants could learn from this place.
Great pub with a fantastic select of beers including their own amazing wild/sour brews.
We stayed in the on site holiday cottages which were fantastic but managed to pick two days when the pub was closed. Still got a few drinks in on the other days and loved everything about the place.
I have wanted to visit this pub for years. Being a lover of the Little Earth Project beers brewed alongside, the pub acts as the tap room. Very helpful staff, took the time to talk through the brews I was most interested in buy bottles off to bring home. Plenty of choice at the bar, their Noel Christmas beer was sublime.
We had some food here with friends, food was nice ,and staff friendly.
Absolutely fabulous camp ground and brilliant pub
What amazing find. A popular pub with a fantastic atmosphere and great selection of real beer and ciders. The staff were lovely and we had a great night. We shall be back!
