Lisa, Sandra and myself came here this evening for my early birthday meal. Food was fantastic. We had a nice Pina colada at Abbi suggestion, it was well nice. It would be nice to see some different deserts on the menu. Big shout out to Abbi and Jamie so nice and polite

Stopped by after work, catch up with a friend and both fancied a roast! Did not disappoint… 3 types of meat available, friendly happy chappy serving (Harry) and plenty of tasty veg. Always enjoy a visit here. Dessert was popcorn profiteroles which were good too. Finished off with an iced latte and Jamie was friendly and helpful serving our drinks. Shoutout to Abi too who remembered us from previous visits!

On a brief visit to the area we stumbled across this hidden gem, we stopped for our breakfast and were pleasantly surprised!
On the outside it looked very much like your usual chain Resturant, on the inside we were really impressed by the outstanding level of customer service, the quality of the food and the amazing value. We will be sure to visit again next time we are near.
We were initially greeted by a lady called Abi who was polite and friendly and explained how to order showed us to a seat that met our needs.
I then went to the bar to order where I was greeted by a man called Graham who couldn’t have been more helpful, He had seen that I had mobility issues and offered to assist me to carry drinks and food to the table to save me struggling - this was much appreciated and surprisingly doesn’t happen often!
The food was hot, well presented and of really good quality for the brilliant price!
I would recommend a visit to the Punch Tavern we will most certainly go again!
We've been visiting for a few years now and on the whole the staff and service has been good with no real issues.
On this visit we were greeted by the lovely Erin (new to us), she was incredibly kind, happy and welcoming. The service she gave was exceptional, nothing was too much trouble and she was eager to help and please. Our lunch was served by Harry, another new face to us. He too was lovely, service with a smile, a chat and such warmth. Though we have always enjoyed our visit here, this time was 10/10. With the Manager's usual bubbly chat and the perfect service from Erin and Harry, we left, not only with full bellies but with big smiles and a great feeling. Top marks for the new staff, what a difference they have made. Well done team!!
My go to place for a lunch time meal. Working a late shift means I need a main meal at lunch time and I absolutely love the food here. I regularly stack my plate up so high, that the peak of my food mountain is probably in a different area code. Angela, Claire, Graham, Tom and Abi all provide excellent service. The roast beef is especially flavoursome and is, id I'm honest, my favourite meat. The sausages are also the best I've ever had. My favourite food is carvery food so this is a direct hit with me. Try it. You will not be disappointed.

Two courses very good value, would not have managed the three course offer, left very satisfied. Friendly staff, and customers. If in the area would definitely visit again. Not listed is apple and custard, lovely custard.

First time at the Punch Tavern for years and I can honestly say it was absolutely lovely, booked a table for eight of us and there was plenty of room for us all. Food was delicious and decent size portions. Staff are very helpful and friendly, nice relaxed atmosphere. Everyone enjoyed their meals , no complaints from anyone. Will definitely return soon. Absolutely the best roast dinner I have eaten away from home! We were quickly seated by welcoming Reception and what a great choice of piping hot food, beef, pork, turkey, gammon and at least 8 veg! Can highly recommend.
Me and my family went out for a nice dinner for my birthday the food was delicious the staff was really nice and helpful even David the manager went out his way to check this food and pudding ingredients due to my both my children are being lactose intolerant and he went out his way to make sure both my children has an alternative pudding so they did not feel left out the Yong lad serving on the carvery was so polite I would highly recommend. I can’t wait to go back again 💯🍽️

Top value for money. The Std size carvery (£7.99) was enough. But gutsy channel swimmer in our group was well satisfied will the 'go large' option for a mere £1.79 more.

All in all it was great as usual. It was a birthday meal with members of my family, and the kids all ate far too much ice cream, I had an excellent sticky toffee pudding thanks to the recommendation (bordering on insistence) of who I assumed was the manager, so many thanks for that, it was great!, and aside from a snag with my order (mistakes happen, its the way things are dealt with that count), which was soon resolved it was a wonderful time and I will certainly be back again. Thanks to all.
Abbie and Jamie were so pleasant and the guy who served us our carvery meat was also pleasant. The food was amaaaaazing as always, can never fault this place!
We visited the Carvery and was greeted my a guy called Dave. Dave was very polite and couldn’t have been more helpful, he put himself out nothing was to much bother. The rest of the staff that we meet and served us was also great. It’s nice to meet such a friendly and helpful team which unfortunately you don’t seem to see to much now days.
I visited this morning with my wife and daughters for Father's Day. We had not booked but space was found for us. Abi, Jamie and Graham were super friendly and welcoming. Their service was prompt, accurate and again friendly. The food was hot and tasted nice. The atmosphere was relaxing hut busy enough to have an atmosphere. Overall a very good meal. Thank you all
