This is a classic country pub. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are available. As a Hall and Woodhouse owned pub, the real ales are great and served in good condition. The staff are just wonderful and make the visit that all more special. The venue is cosy in the winter with numerous fire places to keep you warm.

We sat outside in the garden on Sunday.I ate the Tavern stack which was all home made ,absolutely Delicious. My wife had Home made Vegetable Lasagne which was also Terrific .For pudding I had a piece of Tiffen with cream which was also to die for.All of which was expertly cooked and reasonably priced. The Service is incredible at all times even though they were short staffed at the time. We had no long waiting time as I expected because of the short staff problem. The Bull Tavern is a Family Run pub and other larger concerns could learn a lot from them.Welk Done Bull Tavern .The very next day we tried 1 of their charcuterie boards ,very very good. Also fantastic value for money

And let us not even talk about the service! Small, friendly traditional pub we had not visited for many years. Group of 8 who regularly meet and had one of our best lunches for some time. Great food and ambience. Reasonable prices, nothing was too much trouble. The service was fabulous, great humour, attentive and handled our range of choices superbly. Everyone was ensuring we had an enjoyable time. We did, many thanks.

Marianne and the team are fab, we had several meals on our weeks holiday and the food is freshly cooked to order by husband Lance, all fresh, and delicious. Marianne remembered our names and our dog Dexter was made very welcome with a tasty treat. Would highly recommend, lovely people and the best food. Hope to see you again soon. Kind regards, Julian, Eunice, Dexter and Dylan.

Attended this pub for a sunday lunch while on holiday. My wife and i had the roast beef roast. The plate was full with beef, vegetables, pudding with gravy. All cooked well and hot. After we had apple and rhubarb crumble with ice cream and cheese cake and ice cream. This lot washed down with a few larger shandies. Staff warm and friendly, over all 5 ☆ experience. Tip. Best to book a table for sunday lunch.
