We went in on a Saturday and it had already been a busy night but the service & food was brilliant.
They don't have starters on the menu so we requested some Sides to be served as starters which they did. They were great & set us up ready for the mains. Pork belly bites were melt in the mouth, chicken bites with the gravy mayo was lovely and fresh & the Jalapeno poppers were banging!
The burgers were superb! Dont your time adding any sauces to the burgers until you have tried them how they are served first! The flavours were amazing and it definitely didn't need any additional sauces.
5 start food & 5 start service! Looking forward to my next visit, maybe try out the steak specials
This restaurant is located a 10 minute walk from Stroud town centre in a quiet residential neighbourhood. It has a small seating area at the front, and a rear garden. Inside, there is a dining tables as well as a bar, and a fire in the winter. The food is mainly burger based, with beef, chicken, pork and vegetarian options. The burgers are all large and delicious. The Welsh Cow (beef burger with rarebit) is particularly good. The only potential improvement would be for the fries toppings to be dusted all over the fries rather than a topping. The staff are polite and friendly.
My partner and I dined here last night and all we have to say is WOW! The food was absolutely delicious. We both agreed the burgers were the best we have eaten - doubt we will go anywhere else for a burger now! Even the onion rings were next level. Really enjoyed our evening. We will be heading back with our kids who have plenty of options on the menu to choose from. Highly recommend and will be recommending to friends👍🏽
What a burger joint.
Lovely warm atmosphere, maybe in part down to the beautiful log burner but mainly down to the customer service. Really friendly and welcoming staff across the board who were attentive and accommodating. I asked for my burger to be well done and unfortunately had to send it back for another dip in the pan and they were more than happy to resolve the issue without complaint.
The food was of a really good standard, really tasty and not just your standard boring options. The mac’n’ cheese balls were crispy and surprisingly light rather than the usual stodgy goop you get. Chips were also delicious, my husband had the garlic and Parmesan.. but .. they do curly fries, If you didn’t need any more encouragement to go.
Great food, great service, great atmosphere!
10 of us in the group, plus they had another birthday party going on, couldn’t fault anything! Everyone got exactly what was ordered, people looked after us.

Would definitely recommend the pork belly bites as a side but I couldn’t choose a favourite burger so just try them all 🤪

Had the fat pig burger and rustic fries followed by the biscoff sundea. Absolutely delicious! Best burger I've had in a while, and not too overfilling! Hits the spot without making you feel overfilled. Staff are extremely friendly and the owner is a very funny bloke! Will be coming back.
Amazing and polite staff. Food was delicious and came as reasonable time. Ive eaten here a few times and loved it so chose it for a family meal for my 21st bday. Lovely environment. All my family absolutely loved the food. if you want a good meal in stroud i would 100% recommend Bisley house :)))
It was a warm Friday lunch and I had a craving for a really good beef burger locally, not the fast food ones; this place was the answer and I look forward to coming back again. I had ‘The Welsh Cow’ with skin-on fries - yum!
