On this occasion of visiting the customer cafe I had a full English breakfast and for my sweet tooth had a milk chocolate cookie; as to compare to the cookies in the main shop floor (similar cafe ones softer but shop floor ones in bakery section have more chocolate chips in theres). I really enjoyed the cooked breakfast. And was pleasantly surprised how good it was based on how quick it was. I had table number eight. And they was on number 3, only 5 tables before me. And the people in front of me had three guys on, and thought take while as they ordered full English. But to do the five orders was quite quick. And taste good. To be honest based on how quickly the orders came out of the kitchen in front of mine I thought if the doing them quick I was expecting it to be good, but myself and logic was wrong this time. They managed quick and good quality. So was pleased.
As was as trying the cafe. I also have tried the hot food/deli section. I got two pastys. Had one hot then for lunch and second days after for lunch. Very tasty.
On another occasion I tried the pizzas from hot food section. They are absolutely crazy good value for money. You can get "9inch" or "14inch." And you can either pick your own toppings or pick from one of the pre-made ones already. I went for the "14inch" hawian (ham and pineapple). It was £4.50. Plus an extra £1 to get it warmed up. Good value and really tasty.
Quiet, fabulous breakfast and friendly service. This was a perfect place to drop in to on a way to a business event.
Bacon sarnie and a cup of coffee while we catch up on the events of the past week. Sensible no nonsense food at realistic prices. Would be a shame to lose this eatery to a large chain franchise or an overpriced artisan place. The only criticism, probably of my own making was ordering a second bacon sandwich on the same order number as our original order. This caused some confusion on the system.
Staff were excellent, and the café was clean - it's on a mezzanine level, open to the store with large windows overlooking the car park, so it feels bright and airy. Standard Sainsbury's café menu. I ordered a baked potato with coronation chicken, and it was well presented and tasty, but the potato wasn't as hot as I'd have liked. I'd eat there again.
Very nice meal, I tried the Easter roast dinner, and it was delicious. Was worth the 20 minute wait, but it was lunch time and very busy.
Love the customer service I get and staff are lovely
