The Malthouse Bar & Kitchen - Stroud - Photo album

I was unimpressed by my first visit, my breakfast was horribly undercooked, such that the fried eggs were cold. On my second visit I had a milkshake which was brilliant. It's generally a really nice place to be and the staff are lovely.
Had the Malthouse Burger and I have to say it was incrdible! Would almost go to say best burger in Gloucestershire region I've had in a while. A little pricey but was very satisfied and portions size was spot on. Plus the chips were really good as well.
Have been here loads of times for breakfast and lunch and never had any problems. Food is always good and the milkshakes are brilliant. Would give it five stars if it wasn’t for the prices which can be a little steep.
The Malthouse is a wonderful place to spend a few hours. The atmosphere is fantastic and you don't feel out of place having a meal, a few drinks or even a coffee for an hour. The seating is comfortable and it's a great place to relax and meet with friends.
Always friendly staff and always spotless. I only stayed for coffee and cake and both were excellent! Love that you don't feel rushed and that it's not overcrowded.
Met some friends and in a relaxed comfortable atmosphere enjoyed a fab lunch. Their salads are amazing . Cakes were good too.
They do the most amazing milk shakes here. My children love going after school and there is a lovely shop on the side which is full of funky antique items....
Lovely vibe, very relaxed with some lovely restored architecture. Next to a very nice antiques shop. It's worth strolling around the shop then getting food afterwards.
Excellent full English breakfast. More than enough food and well cooked too. And as for their Freakshakes, they really are freakishly good
Interesting place to visit, they have some fascinating stock, but it is priced higher than I think is reasonable. The cafe is lovely, great coffee and lovely surroundings.
The food is great. Vegetarian and vegan options with plenty of choice. Not a cheap eat but still good value and the atmosphere is lovely.
I think the changes that were made by out of town biusness men who are now running the show don't understand Stroud culture. Sadly thay are not listening to the feedback. This place could be So good .but is now on its nees
Lovely little gem. The decor is great and the milkshakes are amazing, I'm definitely going to become a regular customer.
