We called the venue and at short notice went to eat at the venue. The pub is up a small access lane and the staff were absolutely excellent from entering the premises to serving our meals nothing was too much trouble. Georgie, Minnie and Molly thank you for your excellent food it was a pleasure to consume. The views out the window are spectacular. If you are looking for a local pub to sit down and eat try this venue. Worth a visit midweek as quieter and the lounge area a nice country kitchen look.

Went for a meal on our son's birthday, good atmosphere nice to see the locals supporting the pub. Food was fantastic πŸ˜‹ and a good choice of beers that were well kept and I know what I'm talking about being a retired pub owner πŸ˜€ highly recommend and will be going back again πŸ˜€ there's also a fantastic view out back πŸ‘

Love this place - always a good selection of local ales on rotation, staff are cheerful and friendly and the view from the beer garden has to be one of the best. Exactly what a classic pub should be like. Sammy and her crew have really done a great job in creating a place that the community can call their own.

Not only does this pub have arguably one of the best views in Stroud, it has the most fantastic landlady who continually strives to bring innovation and keep the community spirit alive! The lounge room is perfect for functions, and the team go over and above to provide great food and service. Highly recommended.

Sensational view from inside and out. Staff were all friendly and attentive to make sure we enjoyed our meal (they genuinely seemed to care about what they do). Food was really good and portion sizes were generous and reasonably priced. There's even a decent beer garden to enjoy whether you're a kid or a grown up. Will definitely return, thank you Carpenter's Arms!

We popped in here for a drink and a quick rest during a very long walk yesterday. We are so glad we stopped by as this is an absolute gem of a place. It's super cosy and welcoming - the staff are so genuine. There's also Boris the dog who will greet you and loves some fuss! Really enjoyed the homemade lemon drizzle cake they had in. Drinks are a little pricey but with the variety of local brewery businesses they stock, I'd say it's worth it. They also have some board games. My only regret is not stopping for a meal! We'll definitely be back next time.

I celebrated my 60th Birthday here last month with 17 friends and family, and I can't recommend this pub enough. The staff were friendly, fun and so helpful throughout the booking process and the meal itself. The food was varied and delicious and they coped with all our foibles so well, ( I don't know how the chef does it, it's a real skill). The house beer is excellent, and the view is wonderful. And there's so many nice walks in the area. I can't thank you all enough. It really was perfect. Bill.

Really nice, small, local pub, beautiful views from the beer garden. Dog friendly, good service and a comfortable atmosphere. I stumbled on this place whilst out walking with the dog, it was a good find and I will definitely come back.
