The fish and chips were H-E-A-V-E-N-L-Y. Not that keen on chips normally but those were to die for, so crispy on the outside, done to perfection on the inside, never tasted a chip like it. As for the fish, light, tasty beautiful crisp light batter . If that fish-and-chips was entered for awards, it would win them all, hands down. I think i might well become a Friday night regular

Absolutely brilliant food. Popped in for a quick lunch and was delighted by what we had. Kids food was made up to there choice and was delicious and the adults menu was superb best chips & sandwich I've ever eaten. Lovely staff, great service. Can't wait to come back again! Brilliant

Food is always delicious, freshly cooked and the very best quality. Can never choose between fish & chips or the home made burgers..... Highly recommended.

A belated thank you to all of the staff at the Vine Tree Inn. Janet and I had the pleasure of having Christmas lunch there this year and we were exceedingly pleased with what we got. The food was excellent, the service was excellent, the prices were very reasonable and all in all it was a superb experience. We will definitely be back! Thank you again.

We love to cook and pride ourselves on our Sunday Roast but for a change, decided to come here. The food was locally sourced and excellent quality and cooked to perfection. The only problem was that we forgot to pay! We were told "Don't worry, just drop it in next time you're passing." Of course we will do but what a lovely attitude. We will be regulars, thank you, Gary and Pam

An excellent find after hiking in the nearby forest. Just what was needed on a dreary day. A warm and friendly place to look out the window or to sit in one of the more cozy areas. Excellent service and food. Will go again.

Excellent service, delicious food and great drinks. We came here before going up to the viewing platform. We ordered rump steak, fish and chips, fish sandwich, the sweet potato curry and the bacon sandwich, everything was delicious, and good value. The views are incredible from the rear pub garden, and was a really lovely pleasant stop for lunch.

Welcoming, helpful staff, lovely food. (Didn't get a photo of main course, it was too lovely and disappeared too quickly as a result! :) )

The Vine Tree Inn is our favourite place to eat in the whole of Gloucestershire. The food is truly impeccable and the location is outstanding. Nestled into the rolling hills of the cotswolds the vine tree inn of Randwick is a beacon of divine food and real ales. With a simple but finely crafted menu and an excellent range of quality ales, wines and lagers the vine tree offers much more than just a great view. The specials board is always full of seasonal dishes and always include amazing Herefordshire beef steaks, which have proven to be perfect time and time again. Absolutely wonderful place, and I will always reccomend!

Lovely lunchtime meal with friends today. We really enjoyed the Ross on Wye cider too. We had a morning walk in lovely weather with great views before we had lunch. My wife and I had the sweet potato curry and our friends both had beefburgers. Both options were excellent. The pub was very quiet. It deserves more trade!

Friendly staff, they were very busy, however they did come and apologise for the delay on the food, which is a big plus in my book. The menu was varied, i had a very basic meal and thoroughly enjoyed it, the rest of the menu had, too many sauces for my liking but that is just my taste buds. The rest of the party enjoyed their meals, i would go to this pub again though, might try the evening menu

It had been a long time since I had last been to this village pub and although It has a lovely setting with view and a simple but considered interior I was taken aback by the prices. It really didn’t warrant the cost of the food or drink compared to other local pubs but the very personable bar staff made it more bearable, a total asset for the rather unfriendly owner. When I pay £16 for a burger and chips I don’t expect over cooked frozen oven chips ..rather greedy I thought.

We enjoyed a fabulous meal at the Vine Tree but beware the price of drinks. We enjoyed beautifully cooked venison stake and rump with a lovely pepper source and finished with a chocolate brownie which was also faultless. The girl serving could not have been more helpful or friendly. The drinks bill however was a shock, be careful if you visit to check before you choose as we were caught out which was a shame to end such a lovely visit with a sting like that. Left feeling a little deflated.

Had a wonderful dinner in the Vine Tree..fabulous location, shabby chic interior, polite and hardworking staff and the menu was tantalising. Cannot recommend the Hungarian sausage starter highly enough. Thank you. Will return.

This place is excellent!!! I’ve heard the owner is quite the chef and even picks wild garlic for his soups. The food is excellent. Went in once, was told they had fresh cod just come in, and it was some of the best fish and chips I had had in a while. Sunday lunch is nice, loads of vegan options and great beer and cider. He even has farm-brewed cider, which I found disgusting, but if you like that sort of thing you can find it here.

Having had excellent Sunday lunches during lockdown(s), tonight we went for burger, salad & chips. Excellent chips and salad and a perfect flavourful burger tasted like it was handmade, full of lean meat. Best burger in a long time !!!
