The Star Inn - Whiteshill - Stroud - Photo album

Beautiful pub in the countryside. Nice atmosphere for a pint or two on a hot day. Ignore all the fake reviews from the far left, most of them have never stepped foot in the place. Visit it and you won't be disappointed
A fantastic landlord, friendly welcoming pub in a pretty location. Car park and a lovely outdoor area, tables and chairs etc. My family really enjoyed our visit, highly recommended
Had a great night. Lovely room, great staff and locals and we took our guitars and played in the bar. Great fun! Nice and quiet too in the local area and stunning views of the valley at the pub rear garden.
Great pub and ignore the review bombing it's pretty pathetic, cancel culture at its worst. Great choice or drinks and views to die for, Ken is a great host so don't hesitate to pop in for a drink.
I stayed in the Star with my mum doing the Cotswolds way and very stupidly left my headphones in the bed!! Joanna the cleaner was a saint and found them for me and posted them to me!! What an angel!! I thought they were gone forever but she saved me!!! Thank you so much, really appreciate it
Nice rooms, recently decorated but still not perfect. decent little bar, friendly landlord, but it lacks a lot of atmosphere and that something special. Cheap and cheerful, you get what you paid for.
Great pub, wonderful location. Will visit again.
Genuinely enjoyable pub. Landlord is happy to chat and serve pizza for £5 extra on the pint 🙌🏻
Great little place. There is a refurbishment going on at the moment and the rooms that are completed are lovely. Great bar area and very good selection of various drinks. The owner is very friendly and helpful.
Very lovely rooms. Very friendly, helpful owner. Only stayed one night as a stop-over as traveling on elsewhere but would def go back again. Set in lovely area.
Not a bad little pub, could do with less gin and more beer /cider.. The garden leaves little to be desired. There is a massive crater of a pothole on the way out of the carpark that needs fixing , I'm hoping the landlord buys me a new exhaust 🤞
Ken was the nicest host anyone could wish for. We cant thank him enough We felt so at home during our short stay. Even the locals were so very friendly. Can't recommend the Star Inn enough. Accommodation was very comfortable and clean. Offered at an outstanding price.
Peaceful relaxed location, warm friendly staff, dog friendly. Clean cosy room. Excellent restaurant menu. The haddock and chips was lovely and fresh and beetroot with goats cheese starter was delicious. We stayed for one night with our dog and would highly recommend. Thank you to Ken and his crew.
Had Sunday Roast there, which was absolutely fantastic! Especially the roast vegetable tart is amazing! :) The barmen (who might be the owner) and the staff were very friendly and it was a perfect spot mid-hike to eat and rest. Thank you!
Very friendly and polite staff , pizza and Carlsberg is top notch , rooms are very clean and overall a pleasurable visit , would definitely visit again
My family and I stayed in the Star Inn for one night. It was a very pleasant stay. The room and beds were very clean, tidy and suited all our needs. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. There was an issue with the bar kitchen and they were not serving food. They were apologetic and helped
Driven past this place so many times but after a hard morning in the garden I decided to book in for sunday lunch. And what a lunch! I had soup to start, very flavoursome, lovely little mini loaf of bread and some local butter. My husband had the ham hock terrine. The main event didn't disappoint.
