What can I say. We chose The Old Lodge for our small intimate wedding. A perfect choice. Ryan the events manager is simply worth his weight in gold. Consummate professional with a personal touch. Likewise, all the staff were exceptional. The food was exceptional. Thank you for adding to our special day. This has become our very special place and we will be back... Often !! Cannot rate it highly enough.

Gorgeous old pub and restaurant in a stunning location with amazing views! The food here is fantastic, the service is exceptional, we eat out a lot and this place is one of the best, good value also! Well worth the drive up from Bristol, definitely going back again and again...😊😊😊

Stayed here for one night 5.5.18. Whilst attending a family wedding in Coaley. Fabulous lunch, terrific scenery, helped by the sunshine of course. Very busy but staff very efficient and food five star. Rooms clean and comfortable, staff polite and welcoming. Would recommend . Only negative was heating was a bit warm but then so was the weather οΏ½

Fabulous meal. We were a table of 8 in the bar whilst a wedding party were occupying the restaurant. We were looked after very well by the attentive and friendly staff. Would recommend the vegan antipasti & pan fried sea bass. Really good & everyone enjoyed it.

Truly fantastic spring roll starter, followed by the best sirloin steak I've ever eaten (even if the peppercorn sauce had an absence of cream)...and the wonderful service from our waitress, Jessica, topped it off! Will definitely be back!

Food was really great and therefore reasonably priced (although marginally more expensive than average, the quality makes this fair). Service was decent and we had a nice table overlooking the common as many do in the restaurant. Great for a nice walk and a rest afterwards!

Molly & everyone at the Old Lodge did a superb job on the organisation of our wedding. The staff were absolutely incredible, so helpful, welcoming, and amazing at taking the initiative. They helped make our wedding super special, as did the venue itself which is just gorgeous. The kitchen did an incredible job - all meals were absolutely delicious. Our guests also fed back to us similarly. We and some of the guests stayed in the Old Lodge accommodation and had a wonderful experience. Thank you very much to everyone at the Old Lodge. We will definitely be back soon and will always cherish the day.

Just called in for morning coffee but welcomed. Old fashioned, quirky inn. Great views. Will certainly come back - menus look enticing if a little pricy. Regular visit when down with family.

A friendly convenient local in the middle of SSSI Minchinhampton Common with stunning views from the main dining room. A smaller dining area to the side has 4-6 tables but is relatively noisy as that end of the bar includes the coffee machine. Our table for six was a good size though the chairs are heavy and not so comfortable for a long leisurely meal. Despite minor glitches I would recommend and will visit again.

The food is very good, a touch pricy but you get what you pay for. The main building has a mix of homely old pub with a splash of modern. Sitting on the sofa nursing a pint is a lovely way to pass the time. The outside space is even better, lovey walled garden with the common all around. Cracking spot for a sunny day. I go there pretty regularly.

We enjoyed a lovely overnight stay recently at the old lodge. We chose the location due to proximity to family and weren't sure what to expect but were pleasantly surprised. The room was gorgeous and clean although we had booked the small double and it really is small (the en suite was a bit of a squeeze as I'm 34 weeks pregnant 🀣) but it was comfortable and had gorgeous views of the common. We both slept well in the comfortable bed and awoke to the sound of the birds which was a lovely treat from the traffic noise we are used to at home. We had dinner in the restaurant the night before, I had the vegan burger (highly reccomend) and my partner had fish n chips which he said was delicious. We also enjoyed a fabulous cooked breakfast in the morning and the service was fantastic. Will definitely start using the lodge as our new base to visit our nearby family. Such perfect surroundings to enjoy an evening and morning walk too.

Super friendly, very lively pub. Came for a festive lunch but not too many festive items on the menu. However, burger was declared delicious by DH and I very much enjoyed the cauliflower curry. Great service, fun atmosphere. Subsequent visit with young family - food still delish, great service and made very welcome. A lovely place to spend a damp summer's evening!
