Brilliant place. Had a delicious meal there. The potions are big generous and most importantly very well cooked.Highly recommend the place. We are lucky to have in Stroud. Ps cocktails are fabulous. Ask for carafes not on wine list but great wine and great value at £10.95.
Had the most fabulous Sunday lunch today, the guys were great at dealing with us as a large party, nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend the roast lamb, absolutely delicious. The other roasts looked great too, including the vegetarian option. Antonio & staff are lovely, it's definitely worth a visit. Also so lovely to have another quality restaurant in Stroud! X
The food is excellent and, as a vegetarian, I can fully recommend the options. The staff are also super friendly and professional and their bar is my favourite hang-out in town. I've had a few dates, family dinners and a DJ night here, its perfect!
Went for a meal here last Saturday evening and it was excellent. Staff are friendly and attentive and the quality of the food was first class. The menu has a great choice, I Had the, beef borginoin which was superb as was the chocolate cake for dessert, will definitely be going again to try more delicious food!
Would definitely recommend The Corner House. We have just had the most delicious meal - everyone loved their choices of mains and the desserts finished it off perfectly. The staff are extremely welcoming and friendly and there is a great atmosphere. Can't wait to try the sharing platters next time we go! Thanks

We invited family to the Corner House to celebrate my daughters 18th birthday. Fabulous food and drinks/cocktails, such attentive service and a real fun atmosphere to have a birthday party - the CH rendition of 'happy birthday to you' was the best ever - bar none ;-). The Corner House has been designed for all senses. Hearing impaired individuals like myself can relax and enjoy the whole experience of delicious food and excellent service. A nice touch, avoiding straining to hear and instead being able to savour food and excellent company.

Lovely place to have a nice evening out.
The service was very good and suited the atmosphere well, music was well chosen with a mix of pop and funk.
The food is good, I must recommend the seafood platter which is really nice and perfect for sharing!
Wine is paired well , cocktails are nicely done and balanced. Prices are reasonable for this type of establishment and the portions are big.
We stopped here after a quick search for high rated restaurants in the area and were not disappointed. Sadly, as travelers, most of the places that have been recommended to us were pubs and fried fish joints. The Corner House was a turn for the better!
The food here honestly did come out quite nicely plated and the taste was a pleasant surprise! Flavors were nicely balanced and full of delicious flavor. The prices are reasonable, the portion sizes are great, and the service was excellent. This is a nicer place to go for a better dining experience with a fair amount of menu options. The Monk Fish was our favorite.

You may need to book in advance but it's well worth doing so. Very friendly helpful staff, nice convenient spot there but the food in particular is divine. Really good quality. Eyeing up other people's plates even though it's was more than satisfactory. Must come back soon to start ticking off all the items on the menu.
Called in without a reservation, looking for a pre gig meal. Was shown to a table in a side room, as the main room was very busy, which suited me perfectly. Very nice service from the crew, and a great meal - pork cutlet with various veg, sauté new potatoes and a creamy leek sauce. A real cut above other offerings in the town, from what I could see. Heartily recommended.
Extremely popular restaurant. Offering a choice of shared platter's and various main meals. Especially popular are the fish dishes. Open for casual drop in lunches. Though evening it is better to book due to popularity ,also as restaurant is quite small. Great choice of spirits and cocktails a small bar seated area for pre drinks or after work social.

Returning from France or Italy or wish to go, then this is the restaurant to visit. A welcome small menu allowing the chefs to concentrate on quality. Excellent presentation of food and brilliant service. We had a sharing seafood platter. A test of any restaurant is the quality of the calamari - first class, cooked to perfection.
A nice selection of lagers\beer on tap with again a small selection of good wines.
Middle range cost for high range food, a serious competitor to Cheltenham restaurants. Well done the corner house. An update as we have this week enjoyed dinner for the first time at this restaurant with two friends. What a treat, faultless cuisine and a very good small menu. Presentation of the food is very impressive. Staff are terribly efficient and always helpful. We went on Friday night and my goodness we are not the only people who think this restaurant is at the top of the game. It was very busy clearly the staff were used to this. A great buzz to the restaurant. A lovely evening thank you Corner House.
Brilliant visit. Called to make a very last minute booking for 7 and realised when we arrived that there was a very large birthday party - this didn't slow service. Everything was lovely on the veggie platter and there were comments about the roasties on the beef roast. Thanks for fitting us in.
I had parmigiana melanzena and a meringue tower afterwards, and a double lemon drink.
To start with there was a really nice atmosphere. Bar was a little loud and was in the restraunt near the bar but didn't notice them much. The parmigiana melanzena was really good classic Italian dish and had tomatoes on green still and rocket served with it. Only a little cheese on there so I asked for some more parmeasen. And felt there was slightly too much rocket with it on the side. But the dish was really tasty and the wait wasn't too long.the staff was kind and thoughtful and helpful. The meringue was very carefully laid out with compot or Berry jam. The perfect meringue is chewy in the middle so therefore when the meringuwhat a good was hard eat
A second visit to this restaurant and if anything it was better than before. The welcome was warm, service was just the right level of attentive, and most importantly the food was excellent.
We often have issue having a vegan in the group and the menu wasn't looking too hopeful but there was a risotto starter which they offered to make vegan as a main course which went down very well. The waiter also had no problem with our small appetite person ordering a starter sized starter for her main course.
The atmosphere is very relaxed and we felt under no pressure to hurry along or clear the table. I am sure that we will return soon.
We enjoyed an excellent lunch with 3 generations of family. I can especially recommend the Seafood sharing platter and the Steak open sandwich. Service was sometimes a little slow due to being a staff member short, but the service was very warm and welcoming.
