Excellent venue, have been several times for lunch, despite living 60 miles away. We make a point of visiting for what we know will be a really good meal, when in the Stroud area. Good food, good service, warm friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend it.
Myself, my husband and 2 friends visited on Saturday night. What a fantastic evening we had, absolutely fabulous food, very friendly staff and such a lovely place on our doorstep. Would definitely recommend.

Popped in early teatime with our 6 year old great that you serve food all day - we really enjoyed our few hours here the food was lovely. The waiter Gonzalez? was great he made such an effort with our little boy made his night excellent service ! Look forward to returning soon
When we looked at the menu there were any number of meals that I would have been delighted to eat. In the end I went for the belly of pork in red cabbage and it was a delight; washed down with a pint of bitter and finished off with a winter fruit crumble and custard. What excellent fayre.

Best Steak Ever! and then came the Sticky Toffee Pudding!! Absolutely Delicious. Front of House staff very friendly and accommodating.
We had attentive friendly service with fresh fish. Good veggie options too. Pet friendly so my 2 dogs were welcome too. 5 stars!

Wd like to say thank you for are winners valentine meal the food and service was outstanding this has been a hard year for me and my husband and this was are 1st night out after me having major surgery that I could of not come out from so this was extra special for us so a big thank you all will re visit soon xxx

Restaurant quality food, with good service, in a pub.
Called in for food. Excellent prompt service and rectified a missing food order quickly. Very pricey for a mid week meal and would have to think about going again.
Had an amazing evening celebrating our daughter's 30th birthday. The staff were fantastic, so friendly, nothing was too much trouble, wonderful service - they made sure we had a lovely time. Everyone loved their food, could not fault anything. Special thanks to Natasha who went over and beyond! Would recommend a visit you will not be disappointed 😊

Great pub excellent food on a main road but not too busy and ideal to access Stroud, Nailsworth Selsley or Minchinhampton commons.
Ample parking lovely building and stylish decor.

All staff very friendly and professional.....they were refurbishing the kitchen when we were there but food was still on time and very good.

Not aware of any rooms but if there arebim sure they will be good as we have stayed at their other pub the Old Lodge on Minch Common.
Lovely pub. The food was amazing 👏. I had a sirloin steak. I asked for pink and it was pink! The waiters were very polite, friendly. I will definitely come back!!
A nice old pub on the A46 between Nailsworth & Stroud. Quite obvious as you go past it & thankfully has a largish car park as the pub can get very busy at certain times. Seating is both inside & outside at the front, which is nice for a good sunny day. Booking is recommended for a meal (especially Sunday Roast) however walk-ins are always accommodated. This is a dog friendly pub & there can be quite a few inside when you are eating your meal! The quality & amount of the food is excellent & you'll never go hungry after eating here. The service can be a bit hit & miss at busy times, but always friendly.
A beautiful 17th century pub. Stayed in the Loft room and it was like staying at Hogwarts 5 star style. Food was outstanding, car park secure at night, Balou the dog is awesome.
Great food. Average £20 per course. Had a burger about 5" high. Staff really friendly and a very nice place to sit.

Started with Cheesy garlic baguette, with traditional fish and chips tar tar sauce and pureed garden peas for main. Followed by a fruit crumble. Garlic bread was quite nice. Fish and chips was very tasty. Which stood out to me being better than competiton was the pureed garden peas, as felt better than local similar pub/restraunts. Crumble very dry as only offered custard, not a fan of custard would have preferred cream. Just that small improvement make better if dessert was "custard/cream." But overall very good, deliciousfood. Customer Service very good staff very attentive. Would recommend

Lovely friendly pub went here for a Sunday evening meal. Staff were very friendly and efficient and didn’t feel rushed. Food was amazing would definitely recommend if you’re visiting! I had roast chicken and my partner had roast beef we had sticky toffee pudding and the Lemon posset… out of this world and worth the money.

Staff are lovely, was greeting with such warmth on arrival and service was efficient. Although I didn't have food it looked and smelled delicious, it gets very busy in there so best to book, can understand with the great service and food on offer.
It has a smoking area and a back garden, I would definitely go again.
Very good service with all staff friendly as. Nice food (steak could have been more rare though). My only real criticism would be - please put some music on. The place would really get an atmosphere uplift with some well curated tunes.
Nice ambience. Friendly efficient staff. Only dropped a star because I have had better food for less money locally.
