The best place to meet friends and family for a meal! We had a superb Sunday lunch yesterday. The menu was appealing, the food was beautifully cooked and delicious, the staff, as always, were welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. And it's lovely to see an open fire when you walk in. See
Incredible place, stunning food and lovely staff.
If only all inns were like this. A hidden gem. The welcome was genuine the food excellent, the house white was buetiful plus 5 star service. A most enjoyable experience. Thank you.
Very good. Came here for a meal with my partner, and we were made to feel very welcome. All good that we had was of a good quality, and prepared fresh to order. Starters were presented very well, with lots of good flavour. The desserts were absolutely incredible as well, with all highly recommended.
The Rutland branch of the Cottage Garden Society held its annual Garden Lunch on Friday 20th October ;the setting ,service and food were excellent . This pub is a treasure for Rutland . Many thanks to the Knowles family & their lovely staff . always a treat eating at this inn Jill Lessey
Visited with family. Very tasty food, cooked fresh, served hot. Friendly staff and good service. We all had a different main and dessert, 3 people. All the meals were very good. Clean place. Price indication includes drinks and tip. Would highly recommend 👌
Nothing quite like it really. A very, very good restaurant set in an old country house/pub with small rooms with four to five tables each. Fireplaces in most of them, and a very cozy atmosphere. You are greeted in the bar area as you first go in, and then you are taken to your table. Very profession
Food was fantastic as was the service! Highly recommended 5 stars ⭐️ dog friendly also. That good we’ve booked in for tomorrow!
My brother and I visited The Jackson Stops Inn in Stretton on 29th June as we were staying in the village for two nights en route to The Norfolk Broads for our annual holidays. What a find this Inn was. It was a warm sunny afternoon so we called in for a drink. My brother was given tasters of cide
What a fantastic country pub, set in a beautiful village location. Plenty of room inside and out to eat or drink. Brilliant service and a lovely selection of gins too! The food was perfect in every way
Had dinner here as a takeaway. The staff were great and talked us through what they had. We opted for mushroom parcel with potatoes and veg. I had the poached pear and my wife had the brownie. The food was great and still hot when we got back. I can’t recommend and one thing because everything was
What a find! One of the best meals we have ever had. Such a creative menu and the details in the food are exceptional.
One of the best meals I have had in a long time. We were celebrating my husbands birthday We could not have asked for more
We called about one hour before arrival whilst travelling south on the A1l. They were very accomadating even though the restaurant was very busy during the lunch period. We worth a visit.
Not local to the area and booked a table on the off chance. Good quality food. Nice service. It was quiet on the Friday evening we went. About 10min drive from Colsterworth Travelodge near Grantham.
Excellent food, well cooked and seasoned, beautifully presented. Service was very polite, highly recommend
Had a great meal, arrived late in the evening but they accommodated me graciously. The meal was incredible and I’ll be coming back for sure! It’s a must!
Best Sunday roast I have had in ages. Service the atmosphere was impeccable. Just love this place. Well done The Jackson Stops.
Our first visit to this intriguingly named pub, and it was very well worth it. A lovely old building (two actually) with a great old fashioned bar and several 'quirky' rooms for eating. The menu was extensive, innovative and very reasonably priced by and large, and the food a delight - properly prep
