First visit and the food was amazing, 10oz rib eye was perfectly cooked and no fat or gristle at all. Tripple cooked chips are so nice and the beef dripping gravy is delicious. Wife had hunters chicken and again was on point. Even the kids meals were brilliant, especially the margarita pizza, freshly made and will be visiting again soon hopefully.

Steak and fries could have been hotter. Side of vegetables late to table.
Desserts and hot drinks were exceptional.
Ruby are waitress was very polite and friendly no complaints with the staff.
Gorgeous food, beautiful restaurant, and attentive, friendly, polite staff, especially Lucy, who looked after us.
Returning customers. The Stretton Fox also welcomes motorhome stop overs if you dine with them. Highly recommended.
Just had lunch here with a freind. A lovely pub inside and outside very nice and welcoming. The food was delicious as was the dessert. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Amy was great. Thanks will definitely return
This is the first time I visited the restaurant. We all had a great experience. The food was excellent. Our server, Ella, delivered excellent service. She was very friendly. And the atmosphere was perfect. We were all friends catching up with each other.
Myself my partner and our two babies came for lunch yesterday and it was superb. Chris the manager was lovely he let us pick where we would prefer to be seated so we picked a quiet corner of the pub so our babies could nap while we eat in peace as we had been to a children’s Halloween party that morning elsewhere so it was prime time for us to enjoy an hour to ourselves. The food was absolutely lovely we received and the service was brilliant from the young lady that served us and the young man who brought us our food. We will be back soon 🙌🏼👏🏼
Come for a meal on Friday night, we were welcomed by Chris who lead us to our table & introduced us to our waitress Georgia who was superb. The pub was busy & had a great atmosphere! The food was excellent, the chicken shnitzel was my personal favourite! Will be visiting again soon.
Went here this evening after recommendation from taxi driver. I was over working and decided to try it.
I went for scallops and prawns for starter followed by their rib eye. Both very good and served in a beautiful quaint environment. All reasonably priced. My old ask is the staff keep their private conversations for behind doors and speed up a little just a little....thanks for a beautiful meal

Lovely place, atmosphere and surroundings perfect but a bit of a mess up to start. Party of 16, a few of us arrived half hour early as travelling from afar, their bookings' system wasn't working so they couldn't find the booking. No paper back up book?? Even if they had, the table for such a large party hadn't even been set up! They rushed about to set the table up whilst we waited. Food was great, can't fault it at all, prawns/scallops perfection. Think most enjoyed the food Seabass lovely too and it came out in good time too. When a full glass of coke was spilt by one of the kids in the party by the bar area, before we went to the table, the waiter mopped it up with paper towels but left all the coke on the seat dripping down and didn't even come back to finish it and go over with a proper soapy cloth so it was left a sticky mess. Attention to detail not brill, no salt and pepper on the table, knives and forks missing, we had to locate a further chair. Shame really, maybe they were just short staffed. The very young lad who looked after us did so well though and worked hard just a shame it didn't run smoothly from the start.

Initial table choice was poor, so we swapped to another quieter table, despite asking for a quiet corner table on initial booking (did not seem to have been noticed). But no problem.
Lovely little stop off here on the way home after a few days away. The whole place was lovely, and staffing across all areas was polite and helpful. Food hit the spot with 4 very happy tummies. Had passed this place a few times on my routes back and forth. Will definitely be making more stop offs in the future!
Out for a family meal, service from Ella was fantastic at the table and Sunday roast was very comprehensive and well cooked. We live round the corner and to be able to walk to a local pub that gives such a good experience is fantastic!
