We booked out the rooms at the Partridge for family members to stay for our nearby wedding. Every room we saw was brilliant quality, and worth the money. Our large party dined together one night, and the manager and the team plated and served brilliant food. They were accommodating of our last-minute awkward changes and were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also delicious. We will definitely be coming back and would recommend to anyone

The Sunday roast was the best. First visit and absolutely loved the roast. The potatoes were fluffy and crispy, the swede was lovely and turkey was nice, the ham was better! It was my friends birthday and he absolutely loved the surprise. The staff were incredibly quick and best customer service I’ve experienced in a long time.

* Didn't use the Rooms. Used for a Wedding meal. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating from start to finish. Given own area to seat 20 plus people. Food came out promptly. Zero complaints on food and drinks. Staff continuously checking on drinks etc. Nice garden areas for pictures. The Partridge may be a little on the expensive side for some, but for the place itself the service the quality of food and the no problems throughout it was well worth it. I would definitely recommend it. Can't wait to visit again.

Always a lovely welcome from Pat, Jamie and the team for a working breakfast. The food is always 10/10. Highly recommend the pancakes with bacon and maple syrup (and add on some scrambled egg!) Lovely fresh coffee too! Definitely recommend for a work meeting, some quiet time for work or a social meal.

Had a lovely one night stay as solo traveller in The Annexe. Was booked with my dog to accompany but ended up not bringing her. As soon as I arrived and mentioned I didnt have my dog, the receptionist immediately and voluntarily dealt with removing the small pet service charge on the booking. Very good check in, very helpful despite also 'waiting on' too. Room lovely, receptionist took me out to The Annexe, double checked heating was on etc. Evening meal was super and excellent menu. Only small point - no one pointed out the Specials boards and I was sat out of sight of them, so when I saw them following morning at breakfast I would have chosen a completely different meal ! Please can we have a fork with desserts ! But the meal I did have was still excellent. Breakfast nice and kitchen handled my slight variation with no problem, sadly my first choice, the Bircher muesli wasnt available although I can understand that in a quiet time, season wise. All staff super helpful and polite. Given it's super convenient location would you barely know how close to such busy roads you were. Look forward to revisiting.

Dropped into this very well appointed hotel, pub and restaurant. We didn't have a reservation but they fitted us in for Sunday lunch. We had a turkey and beef roast which was excellent food beautifully presented and cooked. We could have done with one or two more roast potatoes but never mind a very good find for Sunday lunch...

What a fantastic place this is. We only had food here not the rooms but they look luxurious. The food was superb with one of the best Rib Eye Steaks I've ever had, service was first class and orices very reasonable. Highly recommended 👌

Stayed on a Tuesday night. Booked speculatively online, primarily on location as we were on a road trip, and also available photos and reviews. I must say absolutely fantastic, from the moment we arrived, tired, cranky and hungry to be greeted with a warm smile and a genuine welcome immediately lifted our mood. Staff were warm, friendly and charming, whilst being extremely professional and maintaining a decorum. Rooms clean, modern, well finished and well appointed and great size and space. Bathroom spotless, modern and nice touches like a kilner jar of fresh ground coffee in the room just elevate the experience. Restaurant has country pub charm in keeping with the theme and fitting for a venue called the partridge, but is furnished with modern comfortable chairs. Good range fraught keg and cask beers, also good range wines and usual spirits etc served by lovely but efficient staff. Food fantastic. Good range on the menu to suit most people and palates and fairly priced. You can partially see the kitchen and it’s clean, modern and well organised. Breakfast is not included in the price but this is reflected and clear in the room rate when booking. Breakfast selection is however extensive and very reasonably priced. In fairness I’ve stayed in much lesser venues with breakfast included that was beyond disappointing and paid more, but this was good value overall and the quality and selection is impressive. Haven’t stopped talking about our great experience. Only sorry it was one night and away… would definitely recommend and will be back… if even only remotely convenient to here!! Well done all!!
