Iv never left a review before but this is a must. There food is amazing. Not sure how much people eat around here but I’ll be full for a week! Reasonable prices and super friendly staff (Mandy & Ben) lived in the village nearly 2 years and never popped in but can happily say now I’ll be back, so glad this is my new local x
What a hidden little gem this pub is!
Thank you for making us feel so welcome. Thank you Ben for dropping us back to our bed and breakfast Friday night.
We will be back
This is a great pub with excellent food, a great selection of drinks (including ale brewed in the village) and the service was outstanding. I will make sure I come back.
Friendliest pub in the universe. A wonderful place.
Lovely food. Lovely people. Lovely place. Can't fault it. Cosy in the winter with the open fire. And lovey in the summer with the garden.
Very friendly staff food was good
Nice pub will call again
Stopped here for lunch on the way home from a weekend in the Cotswolds. Excellent food, well cooked & generous portions. Welcoming friendly host who opened the door with a smile for myself & my husband who is on crutches, nothing was too much trouble. Good outside area shaded from the midday sun. Will definitely be back
This pub made our group of noisy, mucky blokes welcome from the start. I toured the area and selected this small and busy pub as ideal for us. The drink was great and the food excellent. the Sunday lunch was absolutely faultless. Thank you.
Steve and Mandy,
Thank you so much for my lovely Birthday meal. Not easy catering and entertaining 20 excitable people but u cracked it!!!

We will b back very soon.

Highly recommend for food and drink. Too quality food can't wait to go again. Great service from all staff
Food was awesome. Just a really friendly country pub.
Had a meal here with good friends of ours. Lovely friendly and homely pub with amazing food. Hope to return one day, oh and drink some more Pearson Cider. Lush!!
excellent service/atmosphere outstanding food and recomend the plough inn to anyone thanks for a great evening guys
The poor fella was rushed off his feet and yet still provided a lovely friendly service with a smile and very quick. The quality of the food and drink is knockout and it's probably one of the best pies I've had! (Pictured is the hunters chicken & steak and ale pie)
Very enjoyable Sunday roast and fish and chips (!) thank you. Booked at short notice, we enjoyed our meal in the warm and welcoming pub. A lovely open fire and of course, dog-friendly. Would definitely recommend.
A great pub with excellent food! Service and atmosphere were above and beyond!
Recently discovered this little gem. What a fantastic pub this place is. The food is absolutely outstanding and amazing value for money. We’ve had the pleasure of having a traditional roast dinner on Father’s Day and enjoyed it so much that we returned this afternoon and had traditional pub grub. The landlord is a real gentleman and very accommodating for people without a booking. Cannot fault anything about this establishment. Myself and my family will be returning here for many years to come. Absolutely superb and would highly recommend to anyone.
We were in the Cotswolds for a weekend break and had left it too late to book a table for a Saturday evening meal and everywhere we called were already booked. The Plough had good reviews and so were pleased they had a table available. When we arrived we were the only ones there but recieved a pleasant welcome. We chose to order from the Festive Menu and were very pleased with the food. The starters were both well presented, tasty and filling. But best of all was the Roast Turkey main course with all the trimmings. One of the best we've ever had. Real thick slices of tasty turkey, fantastic roast potatoes and the vegetables cooked just perfectly. Even the Yorkshire Pudding was done well. Our only one criticism is that the chef had ground coarse sea salt over the plates and vegetables. Now we like salty food so wasn't a problem for us but could see that some customers may find it to much. Desserts were good and the value for money excellent. By the time we left there were more people in drinking but we were the only diners. Would certainly go back again especially for another roast meal. Thank you.
WELL WORTH A VISIT! What an absolute gem of an English village pub.
We wanted a Sunday lunch and were staying nearby and booked our table the night before.
Graham, the Canadian landlord is so friendly and the food he served was TO DIE FOR.
We both ordered the sirloin beef roast. Generous portions of beautiful pink beef were served up with wonderfully fluffy roast potatoes, copious amounts of tasty gravy, a homemade Yorkshire and a lovely selection of vegetables - beautifully cooked. Absolutely one of THE best roasts I have ever had TBH.
Superb value meal coupled with standout, efficient friendly service. You truly could not fault the experience.
AN EXQUISITE MEAL! Thank you, Graham.
What a lovely village pub. Good beer and excellent hospitality from Graham the landlord, one of the most obliging landlords you'll ever meet. Although not local we have had two Sunday lunches which you couldn't fault. Hope the pub survives.
Well what can I say besides made my evening! Rattler on tap & unfortunately the steak & ale pie had been replaced by steak & kidney pudding for the evening even better. Lovely traditional pub with great staff. Well worth a visit.
Lovely pub, absolutely loving the atmosphere the place gives off, food is delicious and the pints are nice and cold.
Owner is friendly and welcoming.
Beautiful pub. Was lovely to spend *Canada Day* with the owners. Great prompt, service. Beautiful food, we both had veggie burgers. Very clean. Thanks for a lovely evening. Five stars ⭐️ Geraldine
