Just had an awesome experience at Edge Cafe. Took both of the kids in on my own (age 4 and 2) and felt so welcomed, we had been in before for milkshake but this time we ate like kings. 2 veggie pizzas were freshly made, absolutely delicious and cheaper than any average pizza shop. Fresh orange was as real as it comes and the carrot cake to finish was served literally the size of the 2yr old's head. Above all, the service was warm and friendly, I even managed to eat some of my own food while Ali played 'hide-and-seek' around the cafe. I can't recommend the place enough!! Get yourself in gear and give it a try (Y)

Just been here for a father's day meal. What lovely, fresh food and so tasty. Owner / staff so welcoming and nothing is any trouble. Portions are huge and came away with a doggy bag. Definitely recommend and we will be back

Genuinely the very best milkshake I have ever had!!! My full veggie English breakfast was massive and gorgeous, with the lovely addition of roasted aubergine. My sons had Eggs Benedict and the Haloumi Burger: both were excellent and not a scrap was wasted. The service was exceptional. It was so lovely and so reasonable that we're off there for tea this evening. Very, very highly recommended.

I've brought my son (aged 4) here for a milkshake, and it's great! Lots of different sweetie flavours like Oreo's, smarties etc. I didn't realise they've got a full restaurant menu here including steak. The staff are very friendly, highly recommended.

Lovely place, great food, friendly service. We’ve been here twice for lazy Sunday brunch (they do a great veggie breakfast—the grilled aubergine and halloumi are excellent additions to the usual fare) and will definitely be back!

Not a bad spot to watch the world go by on a Sunday morning. A good spot to wind down after a run around the Meadows

Heard the Jamaican jerk chicken on weekend is amazing so thought we would check it out. When we got here it was being cooked outside on the bbq. Was amazing you have to try it crispy skin soft juicy tender chicken. Generous portions for a great price. Service with a smile. Keep the honest local cafes going! This is soul and home food. Atmosphere is for couples and small families

I expected a small cafe with a limited menu, but what I wrong. The menu was filled with many dishes that a normal cafe wouldn't serve...majority of the times, so I ordered steak and eggs on the breakfast menu, I was expecting a small slice of steak with a couple of eggs.....what I got was a steak that was HUGE and cooked to my desired taste (For me I prefer Well Done.... Contrary to others), this was topped with an onion garnish, then the next thing to note was the eggs. The eggs were poached to perfection with a nice tasting hollandaise sauce over to top, then there were 2 hash browns on the side. Overall, the value for money and the taste is extremely good and worth a try. The service was friendly, the type I would expect from a restaurant. Will be going back and I'm just annoyed of myself as i forgot to take a picture of my meal to at least backup the sheer size of the dish (Presentation was also good). I ordered a millions blueberry milkshake, as show in the picture, it was lovely and filling. Perfect for a summers day. Overall if you've reached this part in my waffle of my first venture to the Edge cafe, then you realize it is indeed worth a try.

Wonderful food cooked from scratch. Five of us altogether with different meals and all very happy. I had Tuna steak, baby potatoes and salad. Prices so reasonable! Ali was great, served and helped us with anything we needed or got stuck with. Definitely will go back and great to have another new local independent place.

The Edge never disappoints. I always head to The Edge for a lovely slap up breakfast - the eggs Hollandaise is superb. The portions large, the service friendly and relaxed and the food consistently good. However me and my partner decided to try the Caribbean section of the menu for a take away this evening and it absolutely exceeded expectations. I had the hake and my partner had a goat curry with rice. The best Caribbean food I’ve had in Manchester and there’s a lot of good ones out there! I also tried the homemade juices (apple and ginger) it was so refreshing, I could have drank 10 - I would definitely recommend The Edge to anyone looking for good, fresh, homely food at a really great price! The chef also called to let me know as soon as the food was ready for collection so it was not left under a heat lamp for ages (I hate when restaurants do that) Thanks guys, see you for breakfast soon.

I've been twice now and both times I've been thrilled. The first time Magda made me my requested coffee that wasn't even on the menu and she was so lovely & accommodating. The second time the owner, Ali, waited on me & my son hand & foot. Nothing was too much trouble, he (and his chef) adapted a children's meal to suit my son and both our meals (kid's fish fingers and adult's tuna salad) were delicious! Ali helped me inti the cafe with my pushchair, helped us get seated, cleaned down the highchair, cleaned up after us and was there to help us throughout our time there, plus he was super lovely & genuinely friendly. We will definitely be back and I'll be telling my friends how great it is. Thank you Ali & staff!

Have eaten in and been delivered too and both excellent. Good quality of food and nice menu items not available widely (salmon and boiled potatoes for example) means it's not all unhealthy. Good portion sizes too and value for money.

Really nice, i've ordered carribean from here and also went in for the weekday menu. Both are really nice and very fairly priced for the portions. Their red velvet cake is spot on. Stop going maccies down the road and support your local buisiness more! Like I say, for an extra quid or two you can have a ribeye steak and chips from here rather than a dirty maccies burger.

Just been here for tea with my family and can't recommend it enough. Just had ribeye steak cooked just how I like it washed down with a fantastic Oreo milkshake. Go here for breakfast or lunch and you won't be disappointed. I will be going back very soon.

Like the place, like the decor a lot, well fitted out for a local cafe/restaurant... The food, considering the price, is exceptional value in comparison to anything else in the locality..Superb menu, well made food, very generous portions, the cappucino is to die for...! Try it, give them some business, it's well worth your money and trouble.....
