We can’t comment on the accommodation as we only drank in the bar. Lovely pub, great service and great atmosphere - we visit every time we’re staying in Stratford. Only downside this time was that we were thinking of ordering food (Saturday 16th Sept) but overheard a couple who pointed out about the
Great choice of drinks and the food is incredible!! Thanks so much to the chef, he delivered it himself and came up check we were enjoying it! The price is a lot better than the pubs close to the river as well and portions are massive! Thanks so much!
Had the best Sunday lunch I've had in years here. I had the three meats and it was so nice! Gravy is amazing, the chef is lovely, and they sell Neck Oil. Perfect!
Stopped into the pub. Dirty fries were delicious. We didn't stay at the hotel.
Thanks Julie and team for a pleasant stay. Enjoyed the food and beer. Ideally situated.
Small room over the bar is not very well maintained, especially for the price point. If you go to bed early, this might not be the place for you, since the bar crowd gets loud sometimes. Once they are gone, it's nice and quiet. Check out time is 10am and if you didn't hear about it at the check in,
Great friendly people , nice brekkie, cheers Adam, clean basic room,no complaints
We nipped by chance seeking lunch and were mightily impressed by our Tacos. Generously filled and VERY tasty.
Good choice of beers and nice beer garden oh and they have sky for football
Very friendly and attentive, will return if we come to Stratford again
Amber and Henry are perfect hosts and it's a very friendly pub. Rooms were nothing exceptional but were comfortable and clean and have everything you need. They don't do food at the moment as they only took over 4 weeks ago . Very good value especially as it is close to the town centre .
This place is lovely! Literally a one minute walk from the bustle of the high street, Henley street, theatre area, and very much part of old Stratford. Old but clean and warm rooms for a great night's sleep, breakfast and meals also available. Staff and regulars were 'old English pub' friendly. Will
Really friendly pub, tends to be more locals than tourists but very welcoming. Great service and beers perfectly kept. Good for watching sport. Clean with a nice atmosphere and a large garden at the back. I haven't stayed overnight so can't comment on the bedrooms.
Nice pub with a garden with a good selection of drinks.
Nice rooms, nice pub, friendly staff. Ideal for a solo business traveller or people wanting to visit the town as centrally located and near everything Shakespeare.
Great dog friendly pub with relaxed atmosphere.
