Amazing food. I grew up in London and have been living this way for 10 years. Never had a decent kebab in 10 years. Finally after a decade a kebab shop that knows how to make kebabs. Tender meat with no grissle. People talk about portion sizes, Lots or kebab shops give large portions but it’s utter dog meat. Portion sizes are sufficient and the kebab is Quality not Quantity. I would prefer one mouthful of this than a whole kebab of cheap Warwickshire dog meat that everywhere else offers. The meat is quality and it’s very obvious. Delivery driver is a great guy

We were put off ordering food here for a long time after reading the very mixed reviews and following our poor experience of the previous establishment (Istanbul). However, tonight we finally decided to give it a go...and my goodness I'm glad we did!!! My mouth is watering right now just thinking about it. I had a lamb döner kebab with salad, chilli sauce and mayonnaise. My husband had lamb döner meat, chips and salad. We were both blown away by the intense lamb flavour and crispy texture of the meat. The salad was fresh, the pita fell apart but was lovely and thick at the bottom and soaked up all the flavours beautifully. It was by far the best kebab I have had in/around Stratford during the 8 years we've lived here. Star Grill's only downfall was the fact it doesn't take card payments (what the hell?! We are two years into a global pandemic and 22 years into the 21st century!?!?!) -no excuses for not having a card reader these days. We didn't appreciate having to traipse down the road in the cold to get cash out before they would even take the order...but the food is why we were there and they had that on lock, hence the 5 star review. Definitely worth a visit, we will be back VERY SOON!
