A nice place for fish and chips! Friendly staff and quick service. Although the food was a little unsalted.
Very good fish and chips. We had a takeaway which was served very quickly and was really good value for the money. Excellent portion size. Don't worry about previous reviews saying bring cash, they now have a cash machine on the premises to help you. Not exactly by the river but still a great view and close to the theatre. Well worth a visit when in Stratford upon Avon.
No doubt the best fish and chips I’ve ever had!! I couldn’t recommend this place any more. Staff were so friendly and accommodating. The food was amazing and well priced for the big portions. Honestly great all around!!!
Decent traditional chippie, takeaway or sit in. We ate in and couldn't fault the food. We ordered scampi and chips and small cod and chips. Ordered at counter and served to table. Marked atmosphere less than 5 but at the end of the day it's a chip shop so we weren't visiting for the ambience! That said the football was on so the atmosphere was too bad either.
Visited Barnaby's fish restaurant while the Xmas markets were on.
Timed it quite well to get in there as we managed to get a table to be able to sit down.
It was very busy in there, a long queue to do your order.
It was worth the wait, our food was brought out to our table.
A good sized plate, lots of tasty chips and they had a gd colour to them too.
The Cod was nearly as long as the plate!
The batter was crispy and not greasy👍
The Cod was thick and so white, it was very tasty, I really enjoyed my meal.
Would recommend eating here, but try not to sit near a door, as it did get a little chilly in there at times.
Price seemed fair for what we got, most things are going up in price🤦♂️
Favourite fish and chip shop, always eat in, lovely clean place, staff really friendly and look after you. Food is always fresh and hot. Always come here when in Stratford.
Delicious Haddock and chips, the fish was very large ..cooked perfectly! Very friendly staff! Cash only but there is an ATM in the restaurant!

Pleasant staff that were very tentative and friendly. Food was a little pricey but orth it in my opinion ( had the mini fish and chips ) few gnats in the door when we went in but it is near a river so don't let that put you off. They also didn't pass comment on my son having a happy meal in there ( as he's a bit fussy ) which was noticed and greatly appreciated. Will definitely be coming back.
Massive piece of fish, could have shared one between the two of us. Very tasty only down side is the fish was put on top of the chips so those were a bit soggy. Cash only sign could have been more obvious before entering.
Large portions, crispy batter and cooked to order which means that the takeaway was still hot when we got back to our boat. As it was cooked to order and they were busy, service was slow but worth the wait.
Visited Stratford upon avon today not to busy decided on fish and chips from here they were very nice we wish we had of shared one portion service was good had to wait a while as the fish was being cooked was hoping to pay by card but only cash accepted.
Very busy place. Staff nice but they got my order wrong, I didn't want chips. They didn't seem to understand when I questioned it and I didn't want to embarrass them so I left it. I ended up paying for something I didn't want. Fish and chips are an expensive meal now!
