Good food, tasty tap beer, a nice traditional pub atmosphere. Pretty chill place to unwind after a long day of exploring. Lots of space inside, plus a large wrap around patio. Louder upbeat music is in the back, while the front of the pub is nearly silent (actually a great thing - choose your preference!) They have their own beer on tap too, and it’s pretty darn good :-)

For a Green King pub the food seemed to have been under a hot lamp for awhile. Bar service not as expected with bar staff ignoring queue and serving others that they knew.
We couldn't be happier with the service we received! We booked a Saturday lunch for a group of 14, including 4 kids under 5, to celebrate my son's 3rd birthday. The manager, Helena, and the rest of the staff were extremely attentive and helpful throughout our visit. Our meals were served in good time and the tables are always cleaned efficiently. Such a great menu for kids too! Considering the prominent location it's very cost effective. The overall atmosphere of the place was pleasant and we appreciated its cleanliness. We will be returning!
This was my first time to Stratford and my wife knew of the Rose & Crown , having visited numerous times before . What a lovely place to have your lunch !! The location is close enough for all the tourist sights . The staff are helpful , and polite. As it was nice , We sat outside in the courtyard and watched a bit of Rugby on the big screen TV situated in one of the outbuildings. We really enjoyed it and now we know where it is , we'll be going again . A definite thumbs up from us .
Very nice spot for a pint or to watch a football match. However, the place was very overcrowded when i was there and it took a while to get to the bar. Then, we waited good 20-25min for our fish and chips and chicken wings. Food was of good quality but the only table left wasn’t very comfortable and it was very hot inside (it was a sunny day in fairness). Nonetheless, i’d rate it 4/5. Once you get to the bar, the bartender was really friendly and quickly made the drinks. Thanks!
Great place if you are a sports fan. Lots of screens and seating. We had Sunday lunch, it was ok but only ok. It could have been hotter and the veg was overcooked but overall it was tasty just a shame a couple of things let it down. The gravy was delicious though!
Came here to watch the FA cup final on Saturday afternoon. Usually when I go to pubs to watch the football I am frustrated because of the queue's for a drink and lack of space however I think this pub managed the business in the best way they could.
It wasn't perfect as there was still a 20 min wait at the bar in a hot crowd of people and you can only find a seat if you are there early, but the space in the pub is very good and sufficient for large crowds with outside seating and television and the staff were very prompt making drinks. It's also a very well decorated pub with a good atmosphere.
Drinks were a little more expensive than most pubs - £5+ for a pint of lager.
Overall would recommend stopping here and I'd like to return.
Regular visitor to the Rose and Crown, good selection of drinks, tasty food has recently had new garden furniture installed which makes for good seating in the sun.
Plenty of tv stations which make it a busy place when sport is being shown, great atmosphere.
Served by Helena who is always friendly, goes the extra mile to make customers feel welcome.
Lovely place, good food, very nice staff, wonderful decor, great choice of drinks, lots of TV's for sport and a decent beer garden with huge TV.
A very busy pub in the town. A sports bar and TVs everywhere. Being busy the food service suffered re waiting times nearly an hour and over. Food typical pub grub. Staff very attentive and pleasant.
