We had a wonderful welcome from the manager Alan! nothing was too much trouble! We had all booked a different meal in the evening and it all arrive at the same time, spanking hot without too much of a wait and there were ten of us! The food was delicious (I had ratatouille with pasta and I would recommend it) most of us had deserts which were also superb!
The white Hart is a lovely country pub and we will definitely be returning one day x
Have been coming to the White Hart for years. My late husband enjoyed this pub and it's ambience. Have always enjoyed the fab food Jim and Andy dish up. Always such a warm welcome especially if Ann is behind the bar. The only place I bring all my family and friends who are visiting from overseas and U.K..
thank you all at White Hart for making us so welcome.
Went for Sunday lunch with Family, the Menu was good , had roast beef which was a little rare but still nice and for pudding a summer berry Eton mess , staff were very attentive and friendly .
Had a lovely little jp and dessert !! But being a fat burger ! Thought I d have the cheese and bicis too ! Got to admit even with a couple pints of really good kept real ale ( Timothy Taylor landlord) was super cheap considering how I felt the did not simply on quality or Size !! Amazing little what I would call a real little local pub that does homely food really well 😀 will certainly be back when work allows ,
Excellent - The White Hart were able to accommodate our party 9 at very short notice (about an hour!). The pub has a cosy and welcoming feel, complete with open fire and locals round the bar.
Beers were excellent, both in variety and quality of the beer.
All the staff we dealt with were friendly, helpful and happy to assist us with any queries - no mean feat for an unannounced large table! Staff clearly care about the service they provide and work hard to deliver great service.
Food was tasty and thoughtfully presented. It was by no means The Ritz but was in line with expectations and everyone left with their bellies sufficiently stuffed.
I would recommend visiting if you are in the area.
Great landlord and staff,Great ales food served all day,Sunday dinner absolutely lovely and plenty of it
A lovely cozy local pub. Great food and service
Lovely pub to drop into whilst out on bikes, great pub food and staff are lovely.
Passing on way back to b'ham from oxford on old road. Just been refurb, good selection of beers, cider etc no food as kitchen was not finished on 12/8/22. Visited this few yrs ago nice county pud still got same filling.
The white hart is a lovely pub. The sort that we used to have before all these impersonal pub chains started. The staff are very friendly and efficient and look after you as an individual not just a number. Food was homemade, well cooked and delicious. Nothing was too much trouble.
Overall very good value too.
An excellent day out. Highly
recommended
Stopped here on spec when passing through, they serve good quality traditional pub food . My wife and I both went for the £10 meal deal which was very good value for money, good sized portions and very tasty. Although it is very much a locals pub all locals and the staff were all extremely friendly. We will definitely stop here next time we are passing .
thank you for making us feel so welcome
Friendly atmosphere, well looked after beer and good pub grub.
Recently (2021) taken over after a long time under successful and popular owner. Approached with a bit of trepidation but was very pleased. Nice and warm welcome, friendly staff, jolly customers!
Greatly enjoyed the beer - Butty Bach. I hope it's a regular - I live very near.
This is my local pub. The landlord is a very friendly chap. They do good wholesome food and the prices are what you would expect for a village pub.
Lovely pub on a rainy day! Fire was going, jazz playing, food was very tasty. Great experience on our way travels.
If you want a mid price home cooked meal & chat with friends, then you'll enjoy The White Hart Inn. Quaint pub with stone floors, eclectic seating/tables, friendly owner. Food cooked fresh with a "traditional" menu & good size portions.
I had hunters chicken, which had an excellent side salad/coleslaw combo + sticky toffee pudding which was good.
A real pub great atmosphere, great food, very reasonably priced, good portions, real food cooked by Jim, certainly not pretentious just tasty meals. Good draught beers. One of my very favourite pubs / restaurant.
Good value-for-money pub-grub. Make a point to study the changing daily "Specials" board -- lots of choice -- their "mains + pud" a good deal.
Cozy, log files encouraged us to stay for lunch, we were glad we did... on a drizzling cold, wet day... it was just the ticket... We will be back..!
Just passing through the wife and I had ham egg and chips very nice friendly staff nice to see a landlord behind the bar.
