Nice place, stayed in adjacent hotel and ate in pub as it was convenient and dog friendly. Food was served promptly for us, calamari and pasta. Calamari was really nice. Good selection of drinks so you should be able to find something you like. We love the hotel so no doubt we will revisit The Bear
Nice comfortable place, food seemed popular, my own experience was wouldn't rush to dine there again but I might just have been unlucky on this occasion. Otherwise a pleasant place to be.

We popped on for a drink before going out elsewhere for dinner. It was very busy because there was a rugby game on. Placed our order at the bar. Staff were brilliant and delivered our drinks to us and promptly. All well organised. Maybe another bar staff person would have helped but not a problem
Excellent service, peaceful,lovely place
Bear is blessed by a cosy ambience and stylish interior. Ordered three aromatic coffees (as three adults required their caffeine fix, not because one individual desired guaranteed insomnia).
