Had 2 wonderful evenings in the pub last week with my family whilst we were visiting the area. The landlady Josie and her bar staff, one was called Mandy, are so friendly and were so welcoming to us. They even put a football match on for us to watch!

It has a slightly odd atmosphere of being frequented by locals but is decorated to a high posh standard, it's almost like the owners are trying to make it something it isn't. Quaint little pub with very pleasant staff. Services offered are accommodation, bar, food, sports tv, live entertainment, darts, pool table, two different outside sitting areas, quiz night and many othe events. All in all it's a great place to go to daytime, evening or nighttime.
Always go here on the way to (and from) the races. The staff are really nice. Gets packed often so you have to make sure you keep your place at the bar.
