Went last night after a weekend in Stratford. Couldn’t get in on the Friday night as we hadn’t booked so booked for the Saturday night instead. We then made the mistake of going to Cafe Rouge as a substitute. I 110% would never go back to Cafe Rouge and 110% go back to Bistro Pierre. Cafe Rouge was average, the service was standard and the bill was £80. Bistro Pierre was fantastic. Lovely atmosphere, very attentive staff and the food, wow. 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 large glasses of wine and 2 pints=£66. A complete bargain, especially when compared to the other supposed French cuisine in the town centre. Free bread and butter to start off with along with a free jug of water and the portions of food were huge. We wish we hadn’t eaten the bread as we struggled to finish our mains off. If anything they’re missing a trick by the bread as without it we may have been able to have a desert too lol. The place was packed out yet we were in and out in an hour and a half. The French chap on shift was great, it was someone’s birthday and he started off with a very loud “Happy Birthday” which many joined in with singing followed by most of the restaurant clapping. Lovely atmosphere and fair play. If you luxery dining for minimal money then this is the place. I can see why this place is so highly rated. Booking is a must. We will be coming back to Stratford and this will be where we have our meal out without a doubt. 10/10.
Love it here and have eaten here every time we visit Stratford. Fabulous food, lovely friendly and helpful staff. And the two course pre theatre menu is excellent value for money. Can highly recommend.
My boyfriend and I visited this evening for the first time, while here on holiday.
The staff were polite and attentive.
The atmosphere was pure tranquility.
The presentation was beautiful.
The food was absolutely amazing (one million thanks - Irish saying!) to the talented chef.
I highly recommend this beautiful, stunning French restaurant :)
Had breakfast there at the weekend. The staff were amazing and ensured that my food was gluten and dairy free. Highly recommended for anyone with allergies. My hubby and daughter also loved their ‘normal’ breakfast ...lots of choice.
We had a 2 course lunchtime special and the food was delicious and great value for money. Staff were friendly (felt like they were one short as they were a little over ran) but overall I'd recommend it and would certainly visit again.
We had a family meal here yesterday and the food and service was absolutely fantastic we could not fault it.
Wonderful place to eat and drink excellent value very good service will definitely be visiting again
Had birthday here on 18th March with 12 Friends and was fantastic service & food would highly recommend:-)
Superb meal and excellent, efficient and friendly service. Well worth a visit.
Great restaurant. I stayed at the Swan Nest hotel next door and as a result I had dinner, breakfast and lunch in the Bistrot Pierre.
The restaurant has its own app that I would highly recommend downloading as it has daily offers, discounts on meals and drinks (including alcohol). The more you spend via the app the bigger the savings you can add to your bill.
The restaurant has a great location and also has the hotel pub (The Bear 🐻) next door.
Staff are friendly and food and drinks are very reasonably priced.
It's the second time I've been to the restaurant in a year and would definitely go back again.
I had five delicious meals here in Bistrot Pierre. The staff were super friendly without exception. The food was exciting and delicious, if rather on the expensive side. My dog was made welcome. I was served by many helpful waiting staff who could not do enough, even helping me with the buffet breakfast by bringing toast, hot drinks and such to the table.
In particular, Kraskia, Luisa, Oliver, Ben, Rob and Flo gave extremely good service. They all worked extremely hard.
We had the most delicious dinner here! Our server Ben was brilliant, we were a bit cheeky and asked if we could have a few of the starters but smaller portions, sadly we couldn't but he explained about their member's club which let's you try the whole menu but in smaller portions. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was lovely, we had a lovely seat in the window look out over Stratford. I'm excited to visit again.
Excellent value and well prepared Sunday lunch. I chose the French theme, Chicken Normandy, rather than the traditional British roast - well it is a French bistro after all, and was very happy with my selection, although the dauphinoise potato could have been creamier and the winter green as a single leaf.
Having first visited the Bistrot Pierre in Torquay and been so impressed with the food, it's become a mission whenever visiting anywhere where a BP is situated to eat there. Firstly unlike other chains they are not generic from the outside. This one was attached to the Swan Hotel and close to the River though a road and another establishment sits between it. I believe the menu differs in each Bistrot location also. It is reasonably priced with various special deals usually available. We went for the two courses for £19.95 which also includes a drink ..wine, beer,or soft drink. The three course is £22.95. there are several dishes in each course to choose from. The chicken diane was delicious and well seasoned. The pannacotta desert was lovely and creamy. There were some new staff in training and unfortunately their inexperience was reflected in the service.. however everything else was lovely, our meeter and greeter Filipio (?) Was engaging with a great sense of humour. And though we arrived earlier than our booking we were able to be seated straight away. A definite recommendation.
We stayed in the swans nest adjacent to bistrot Pierre, we decided to have a meal here and were very pleasantly surprised
It was busy but our group of 8 were seen to in good time
Rob was a star here, but all the staff were great
Prices were fair
Excellent food service ambiance and wine!
10/10
Absolutely fantastic in every way. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Food was amazing and the 2 course deal was fantastic value. We sat in the conservatory area which has a view of the river....Will be going back!
Came here last year food amazing as usual.
Tried the calamari for the starter but not a fan cooked to perfection but I did not enjoy but it's the first time I tried it.
But the food is fantastic and service is great had a couple of pints of cider to wash it down definitely recommend 👌
We had 2 Calamari starters. Beautifully seasoned and fried. Would like to have a slight bigger portion however would still highly recommend.
The half chicken again was brilliantly cooked, very moist!
Best of all was the sirloin streak- genuinely the best cooked steak I’ve had in 25 years. Literally so soft it melted in the mouth. The peppercorn sauce was also full of flavour. The chef that prepared and cooked that steak needs all credit. 10/10
We come every month to this hotel and have breakfast in the restaurant. We just wanted to praise the wonderful Krasi. She is friendly, helpful and incredibly professional. Krasi makes the breakfast experience a total joy as she is always so efficient and cheerful. We would be devastated if she left as she is the driving force behind the breakfast service.
Lots of gluten free options, including a fabulous Tarte au citron for dessert
The food was exquisite and delightful. Have visited before and it 100% lived up to my expectations. Had the French onion 🧅 soup, cheese 🧀 fondue and calamari for starters. Afterwards, we had steak 🥩 frites x2 and the chicken dish.
Staff were excellent and very attentive and accommodated for Gluten Free food brilliantly! There was a vast variety of gluten free food, which is few and far between, especially gluten free calamari! 🦑
Loved the set menu 3 courses for £22 with a glass of wine. The food is something I would not normally cook at home which makes this special. I look forward to returning.
Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. A few issues. Flies! 4 different staff waitered our table Great menu but several items not available including the cocktails. Butter was out of date, other than that the food tastes great and was filling
