Food excellent the fish far too big I couldn’t finish it. Starter was lovely no room left for dessert as we were too full. Hubby had the tartlet very enjoyable. Would definitely recommend this lovely pub. The staff were really friendly
One of our favourite places to eat..yet again it never fails ..gorgeous food (all home cooked and the best roast potatoes!) and super lovely staff ..thank you for a fab meal
We stopped here after a long day of sightseeing. Not only is the food some of the best I've eaten on this trip, but the service is excellent. Our server was friendly and really made the experience memorable.
The Old Thatch Tavern was brilliant, Margaret said it the best fish and chips she has ever had. The pie I had was chock full of meat. Great friendly staff and great pub
We had lunch there from our way from Wales to Cambridge. One of our kids had a special request regarding food and it was no problem. The food was delicious and the atmosphere very cosy! Special thanks to our waitress who was very helpful and friendly (unfortunately cannot remember her name)!
Proper pub grub
Lots of character in old fashioned town centre pub. One of the few 'real pubs left. Food and beer v good. Visit regularly.
Pub was recommended to us, we made a late reservation & weren’t disappointed, our food was gorgeous, fresh & the best cooked vegetables we’ve had in a long time.
Good, busy, place.
Lovely, lively and serves good beer.
Didn't eat the food, but everybody seemed to enjoy what was put in front of them.
I had the cottage pie, good quality meat, delicious flavour, veg cooked just to my liking . The barmaid made me a great glass of Pimms. Highly recommended.
Excellent food, atmosphere and service. Seek out Jenny, fantastic and attentive waitress. You won't be disappointed, very reasonably priced and fast service. Highly recommended.
Always love the food, fresh vegetables always served, friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.
Great food and relaxed atmosphere! Staff very friendly and portion sizes are generous. Good home cooked food no microwave meals here!
Top notch Fuller's pub, with a variety of their beers served, flagstone floor, old beams, olde worldly country pub feel about the place. Nice to see in a town centre.
Great pub. Food is reasonably priced. We had cottage pie and lasagne and it was very good. Worked my way through the Fullers ales. All good! The staff are great. Worth a visit. Duck your head, low ceilings!
Went there for a day out. It was a nice restaurant. Dog friendly which I am happy about. Food was prepared and served to high satisfaction. The staff greeted us with a smile.
I asked them about the sausage I am really fussy about sausages they assure me that they were good tasty sausages my goodness they were. Hubby had leek and potatoes soup which really did look good and he enjoyed. The food was really 10/10
Everybody there that day seem to enjoy there food. Recommended to an old couple I meet on my travels. I hope they enjoyed has much as me.
I had a wonderful experience in this place! They have a amazing food, lovely staff and cozy environment!
Really cool place. Really cool to look around inside. Had sone food and an ale. Must say not my favorite fish but the chips were great. Staff was really nice and service was good. Really cool to have pint in the oldest thatched pub. Well worth the experience.
Wonderfully detailed design and old world feel. Great place to look around and see all the amazing things that history has done for us.
Very good food and super friendly service in the oldest pub in town!
Arrived in town a couple of hours ago and this was the closest pub. Astounding. Been in the UK 10 days and this is the highlight so far. Great vibe. Great food. Friendly staff. Think I’ll have a couple more pints listening to a brilliant playlist from a crisp hifi whist gazing out onto the town streets. 😍
Wow! Unbelievably delicious fish and chips. Light and crispy batter, yummy mushy peas and delicious tartar sauce. Beautiful atmosphere as well. Loved the decor! So happy we stopped here.
Such a beautiful old pub with lots of history, the staff are very friendly and we met a lovely local man who was full of knowledge about Stratford. We ended up booking a table for the evening and were not disappointed, the food was amazing. I would definitely recommend a visit
