We were lucky to get a last minute table for lunch yesterday as usually would have to book. The restaurant has a lovely cosy atmosphere and the staff are friendly and helpful. Really good food, adults had lasagne with best garlic bread and a lamb halloumi burger, kids menu has great options. Would definitely recommend.
We called in for breakfast and i have to say that my wife and I enjoyed every aspect of our visit. Food was beautifully cooked and presented, staff very attentive. The ambiance in The Vintner is very cosy with old beams and comfortable seating. Set out as a wine bar on one side and restaurant in the other it works really well. Would thoroughly recommend.

Mango chicken is one of my favourite dishes, but tapas is also great at the bar.
The food was excellent, especially the Lamb shank main and the special egg custard desert with caramelised banana. We hadn't booked but we were lucky to get in, lots of disappointments as no room for them. Book a table. Fantastic place, well recommend.
The food range was excellent. Service was good the ambience was good. I had Cornish sardines to start which were superb followed by a hake cassoulet which is the best I have ever had. Will we go back oh yes we will

Beautiful old gastro pub at the heart of Stratford-upon-Avon. Due to proximity to the Shakespeare theatre, they have a pre-theatre dinner menu as well. Great service, attentive but not pressuring. The food was great, cheese souffle was to die for. Recommend for special celebration days for family but also for a nice night out for couples
We went for a late afternoon lunch and the food was really amazing. The chicken breasts with mango and the curried sauce was too good. The mushroom risotto was made perfectly with great flavours.
The service was very good and they recommended us the perfect dishes.
Btw the focaccia with mozzarella is also a must have.
We visited from Gloucester today and the service was amazing. When the food came out all 4 of us were extremely impressed. I had the soufflé and the scallops. Best scallops I’ve ever eaten. Would highly recommend. Staff went above and beyond to give us a fantastic experience. Thank you 😊

Absolutely excellent. Exceeded our expectations. The service, the food & the location were perfect. We called in by chance for a light lunch on Valentine's Day. The food is so tasty. I had carrot & artichoke soup & cheese croquettes with saffron aioli. My husband had a chicken dish. We both had tea. Every aspect of the experience was excellent. I would highly recommend and look forward to visiting again to try the rest of the lovely looking menu.
Excellent late lunch on Christmas Eve. Great atmosphere and delightful friendly service. All of our food was fabulous. Always a great choice.

Delicious food and even better service! The waitress was really lovely and bubbly. We had the 3 course set meal - mackerel, lamb and cheesecake and none of the courses disappointed. Will definitely be back.
We have visited the place twice. We had excellent lunch and received great service and attitude. Later on came back with friend for beer and deserts- reconfirming our first impression. Well done!
Great service, wonderful food presentation and taste! Asked for a bit of avocado on side - no problem. Building full of character. Great modernish fireplace that keeps you warm. Set menu for theatre goers! Will be back.

Visited here yesterday for the first time. What a delight food was superb and the lady who served us was lovely and friendly. Risotto and Crab scotch egg both delicious. Will definitely return one day.
What a great find. We go to Stratford each summer and never tried this place before; did a walk in and they thankfuly squeezed us in. Has a proper Bistro feel to it but with class and but without the arrogance or bad service of the French (we have just come back). And what a great menu, with wonderful well priced specials; carafes of wine - again not too expensive (reasonable wine list too) and all round a really great place to eat with value for money. My only criticism.... the heaviness of the cheese souflee....but the pan fried sardines, moules and chips and beetroot salad, beautiful. Service and general ambiance could neither be faulted, with great people skills from the (Scottish?) manageress....
Their fixed price lunch menu won my vote over the other nearby restaurants offering similar ideas. Wasn't disappointed nice inside either ... immediately very welcoming and excellent service.
Ordered mushroom burger salad without bun as gluten free no option. Although food good I only had 1 mushroom and had to pay extra for cheese and for overall value....expensive! Asked for dressing of olive oil and lemon and had to mixit myself!
Nice bar. We had already eaten so we didn't get the chance to eat here but the food looked really nice and everyone we could see were happy with there food. We had a couple of drinks including cocktails and we enjoyed those surrounded with the nice chilled atmosphere
