Thanks for a perfect meal we had tonight it was delicious from start to finish I would say it's the best meal out we have had for a while, all staff very attentive even though it was so busy, we will definitely be back
What a beautiful restaurant!
Their attention to details was indeed first class, All the staff seemed relaxed but on point with everything.
The food was exquisite as was the company and I would definitely dine there again and wouldn't hesitate in recommending anyone to dine there whilst visiting Stratford On Avon.
My husband booked us a table at Lambs yesterday, that was pretty impressive in itself...food was fabulous, we both had fish, service was excellent and the iced hazelnut parfait was to die for, our first visit and it came highly recommended by good friends, unfortunately we live an hour away but will definitely return
Fantastic little find today, lovely restaurant, accommodating staff & food was amazing. Would definitely recommend a visit.
Service and food was excellent. I had the pate to start followed by the open ravioli with butternut squash - delicious. Definitely highly recommend this restaurant.
Wonderful location, food and ambience. I cannot recommend Lambs enough. If you like quality food at an affordable price, make a booking.
Lambs Restaurant is the only place where the food & service is consistently faultless. (if we do try anywhere else we wish we’d gone to Lambs!!) The staff make us feel welcome & the atmosphere is relaxed.
Thank you Lambs.
Wow what wonderful food! The starters, the mains and the deserts were amazing!! The staff were so friendly and service was quick but in no way rushed! Thank you for helping us celebrate our first wedding anniversary!
A beautiful venue for lunch and got the corner table I requested on line. Beautifully presented and tasteful food with excellent service from all the staff. We will definitely return, thank you.
Absolutely fantastic food and service! Highly recommended! Will come back! Fish was amazing, best in the UK! Great experience and great staff! Thank you !
Absolutely amazing place, the food was so wonderfully cooked and tasted just fantastic. All staff were wonderful too, will definitely be returning again, thank you
Couldn't fault anything..... the food when it arrived was fabulous but what will stay with my for a long time was the service. We took my mum, 83 and not the steadiest on her feet, but the patience, curtiousness and all round chivalry was just fabulous. Definitely memory making. Thank you Lambs, we cannot recommend you enough. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Thank you for making my birthday so special. Food was amazing and staff are lovely. Highly recommend!
Fantastic place, amazing location and fantastic food...
The linguine with crab, prawns and muscles wow!!
Amazing food, amazing staff and a amazing location.
We had a wonderful 3 course meal there tonight. (Best in the last few years)
Somewhere between the birth and death of Shakespeare, we have to stop for lunch. Lambs is a higher-end choice and if my experience is any indication, it's probably one of the better choices in town. Situated in one of the oldest buildings in Stratford, this restaurant is an undeniably beautiful two-story Tudor where the warm wooden slats give it the look of a homey tavern.
Lambs is a really dependable brasserie on central Sheep street in Stratford. The menu is varied, the portions sufficiently generous and the value good too. The last time I visited I ate a delicious pan fried cod dish with pea puree and fennel and ate a lovely mozzerella salad to start too. I've been a few times and it has been consistently good
The restaurant was decorated well. I ate beef with mushroom, which was served with french fries. Beef was delicious. Waitresses were friendly and helpful. The prices were fair enough.
Good food, friendly staff. Really enjoyed my evening there and would recommend.
Beautiful venue, lovely friendly staff and the food was delicious. Was £65 for a couple work win and a desert which for the food and venue we thought was great value, would definitely come again.
Delicious food with outstanding customer service. Staff clearly knew what we ordered and deliver the food in the right order. She was very patient to walk through the menu with us.
I had friends over last weekend and took them to Lambs and we were not disappointed!
The service was impeccable and the food was unbelievable. Even my vegetarian friend had a good amount of choice (which was a concern in a restaurant called ‘Lambs’!
The wine choice has something for every budget and we had a thoroughly lovely time.
Considering the quality of food and service the price was extremely reasonable.
I have to stop myself going back every Sunday!
Just had lunch at Lambs. My husband & I randomly chose the pub when having a wander in Stratford and thank goodness we did. We had the roast lamb and it was sensational, cooked perfectly and immensely tasty, the sides were equally delicious. One of the best roast lunches I’ve ever had. The service matched the eating experience, the waitress was very welcoming & friendly and professional. I would highly recommend a Sunday lunch, just fantastic.
Simply excellent. Had the lunchtime menu consisting of an exceptionally nice soup, generous rump steak and a superb desert. All for £25 plus a £3.50 steak surcharge. Steak was so tasty I'm feeling hungry again writing this. Been a couple of years ago, will be going again sooner.
Enjoyed my dinner, selected classic British dishes done very well, though one small wafer of pancetta hardly constitutes liver & BACON. Crayfish entrees & Eton Mess were well done.
During a recent visit, we dined at both The Vintner and Lambs. Based on the menu similarly, I suspect both have the same owner. The Vintner was very good, but Lambs showed why it is a Michelin starred restaurant. The attention to detail was excellent, some of the best food we have tried in a long time. Scallops, Lamb and Chocolate Mousse were all the clear winners! Would definitely recommend it!
Been 3 times. The service is always efficient and helpful.
Food is excellent value. Good quality. Not aiming for Michelin stars just tasty well presented decent sized meals.
Beautiful building inside and out
Everything was delicious! We had the salt cod fritters for starters, then the sea bream (with a nice tangy twist) and the calf's liver (melted in my mouth like butter) and the sticky toffee pudding for dessert.
The service was very friendly and efficient. The food arrived very quickly. And it's just wonderful to sit underneath all those crooked woodbeams.
We stumbled upon this place, having not booked anywhere on a Friday night and wanting a meal.
They were fully booked inside, but had an outside under cover court yard, that was empty, it was a little cool in the wind, but they had heaters and blankets on all the chairs.
Food wise, we ordered the prawn/crab cocktail served with avocado 🥑, grapefruit and lettuce along with 2 portions of the mussels to start, the only downside, was it doesn't come with bread, so you have to order that separately, but you get a good amount for £3.50.
For mains we opted for the 8oz steak and the crusted lamb, the lamb (served pink) was served with mustard green beans and Dauphine potato, this was lovely.
Full after 2 courses, we couldn't manage a pudding.
Definitely worth a visit, if you can, go during the time, when they have their 2 courses for £20 and 3 courses for £25.
The food was very good as was the service. Great value in this establishment!
Had a fabulous meal here.
I had the crispy sweet chilli pork salad, which was very nice.
I followed with the special of pan-fried lemon sole, again very nice.
The mussels here are a must. Our dinner companions had them, and they were huge.
I would heartily recommend this place.
Celebrated my birthday here and I must say we all had great time. Food was outstanding and atmosphere was pleasant.
Taken 1 star out due to service not meeting expectations and not many items of vegetarian food in the menu. Will return again.
Lovely meal, friendly and efficient service. The food was delicious and it was nice to be able to have 3 courses and leave satisfied yet not overindulged. The check was also very reasonable given the food and wine that we had enjoyed
Delicious food chosen from the set menu. Sat outside in the courtyard area which was covered and looked newly decorated. It was a warm evening but noticed that they had heaters and blankets for cooler evenings. The staff were very attentive.
Good food - we had the 6oz steak frites and the fish of the day (halibut), recommend both. Wonderful service, staff were really friendly and attentive without making us feel rushed. A good selection of wine, with many served both by the glass and in 500ml carafes. Wouldn’t recommend the table olives, hardly a reason not to dine here though.
Overall, recommended!
It's note cheap, but the food is really good.
