I like this place as its different and the fact it's outside on the strip so on a summers day it's really nice going here the food is always good never had a fault and service is on point
Though have been here just twice but haven't been impressed much with the taste and quality of food.Felt meat was a bit bland and dry both times. Even the service was not upto the mark had to wait for the bills for a long time.

With such wizdom at its heart Greek food has so much to offer than one can think of. One place that comes to mind is this one. Love their food. Been there a couple of times and have got really good service each time, the people are welcoming to say the least.

Once again I find myself in Westfields Stratford. As an East Londoner, the thought of trekking into Oxford treat or any area west of Liverpool Street station in general is a mission. So if I fancy topping up on some clothes, toiletries, or some recently discovered lovely home ware from H&M, then Westfield is my spot.

Of course when visiting, whilst you may plan for it to be an in/out affair, it seldom is the case. All of the big windows with enticing items on display beckon your attention. Don't get me wrong I am not an impulsive shopper, I buy only what I need, but having a browse is something I am comfortable with. I guess it also makes it bearable because the place is not mad busy. You can move around with reasonable ease.
For this particular recent trip, it was time to try our The Real Greek outside on the terrace. I have run out of options here having done Busaba Eathai and Bumpkin. The Real Greek is a simple food concept. Sharing stuff on tiered plate racks. Yep, mostly that's it. I don't mean to sound dismissive, in fact, I like the simplicity of how you select what you want and how its delivered.
You have the option of choosing lots of plates to share from the cold, hot and grilled meze or they cut down the process of choosing in half by offering you the "Perfect for Sharing" options for two. We opted for this at £35. 25 with 8 meze items. All good groups are covered with your carb's, meats, fish and veg. A great selection. We opted for greek flatbread, houmous, green bean fava, prawns with feta, lamb kofte, dukkah chicken wings, falafel and saffron rice. The alternatives you could choose were just as good.
On arrival we were kindly given a booth for four (there were only two of us). This is normally a no no for restaurants, but they were so friendly and accommodating. Great service. My reasoning for this table was because it was at the end of the room so I could get a better view and pics for the blog without elbowing or disturbing fellow diners.
The "Perfect for Sharing" selection was curated by Tonia Buxton, the face of Greek Food in the UK, who is now apparently an ambassador for The Real Greek. I was pleasantly surprised by my experience following a less than satisfactory visit to the Covent Garden spot. I guess sometimes things need a second chance. I am delighted I was so forgiving, as this is quick, easy and tasting food.
I had been here before and wasn't really impressed. Just the thought of grilled halloumi was all I needed to come back. I think I've nailed my choices this time and really enjoyed the meal. Totally recommend the lamb meatballs, the grilled calamari, the couscous salad and obviously the grilled halloumi. We had a quite relaxing meal. Service was a bit slow but always really friendly! I'll be back more often
Good fresh mezes and a good choice in Stratford if it'snt problem do not eat a real main course. Meatball was good hallumi ok but chickpea salad was really good👍🏼 Londra'da birçok semtte Şubeleri olan biçim için kurtarıcı bir seçenek. Yabancı olmadığımız lezzetli bir Öğlen Yada akşam yemeği için her zaman tercihimiz...
I walked by this restaurant and thought it would be interesting to try something a bit different. It was very busy and as we hadn't booked our group of 4 did not feel likely to get a table. Despite this the staff managed to seat us in minutes.
We ordered about 15 different dishes to share between the 4 of us which gave us a great sample of most of the menu. The staff were very attentive and had great knowledge of every dish reminding us of each of them as they arrived.
Of the cold dishes the Greek cheese sauce was definitely a favourite with a really interesting feta and spicy tomato flavour. The lamb burger was one of the best warm dishes as it was cooked perfectly with loads of flavour. I probably wouldn't order the chicken wings again as they were a bit basic compared to the rest of the dishes.
Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, casual group dining experience.
We had a selection of mezes mostly meat and must say the lamb was fantastic. It was a busy Fri evening yet service was attentive and not too intrusive. They sat us by the door which was very chilly but when it got more quiet we asked to move and they were able to accommodate that ? Even had live music which made the meal even more pleasant.
The Real Greek interior is dominated by giant chandelier almost like from “Zorba the Greek” musical, shelves full of wine, decorative plates on the walls, solid wood tables and garlic bunches hanging on the blue Mykonos style door turned into cupboards.
My second visit to here and it was outstanding both times.
The service is attentive but not intrusive. We ordered a selection of dishes from the menu, the pork belly and halloumi dishes were particularly tasty. Would definitely recommend a glass of the Sauvignon .
We ordered six dishes and two glasses of wine which was reasonable at £45 but if you show a Westfield receipt you get a further 25% off which is amazing value for money (Mon to thurs)
Food: Greek
Price: around £ 30 for two people
Atmosphere: Busy Friendly
Review: I went to this restaurant several times and I am always happy at the end of my meal. The restaurant is large enough that you can go with many friends and family . The waiters are very attentive and always smiling.
The real Greek is very pleasant to taste different dishes of Greek cuisine. In fact, you can order for each 4.5 pounds , small dishes that can be enjoyed hot or cold .
Pita , olives and cheese are great to start, then I opted for tzatziki , hummus , lamb dumpling and potato homemade meat. It was really nice .
In addition, the house offers different menu if you just want something small and affordable. For example, menus for £ 14 or £ 10 are available, which include a starter and a main .
I will definitely return to the Real Greek .
Very nice and cozy
Easy to find. Very nice atmosphere. Staff was friendly and good at explaining us particulars about wine and traditional dishes. Quick service.
Food was good and in moderate portions. I have tried the “koto-bacon” and was really appetizing. Even their “tonia’s couscous salad” is really nice. And have a glass of retsina tsahpina which is an incredible white wine.
The place can host a lof of people but I suggest to book if you are a big group.
Good price and the place is absolutely amusing. Definitely you should give a try when you shop at Westfield Stratford.
Loved this restaurant the decor was really nice, the waiters and waitresses were very welcoming. My parents were visiting from Mauritius and really enjoyed the food and they went back again to the restaurant.
We ordered the tabboleh, halloumi, lamb kefte and grilled octopus and dolmades and had delicious baklava for dessert.
Great selection of greek dishes and beverages. Food is always fresh and nicely served. Local is well situated. I'd expect a bit more hospitality from the personnel.
Special thanks to the team who served us yesterday! Staff is amazing and very helpful and specially the food is lovely! Reminds me my holidays to 🇬🇷!!
If you really crave to Greek cuisine, this is the best place you should go to in Stratford! Also super affordable as they have special menu for lunch!
There’s something about this place that inside the restaurant, the atmosphere, it reminds me like I’m actually in Greece! 😇 💯
We really enjoyed the experience, the food and service 5*.
We ordered lot's of dishes, a mix between cold abd warm and, all of them arrived in timing, tasty and fresh.
Service- wow, Augustine presented the food in a Mediterranean style and the recommendations amazing, great service, great personality.
100% recommended
PS: we ordered both Haloumi, delicious
Very good food at a good price too.
Stuff is very polite and they explain to you what you don't know.
Is just a bit noisy if you want to have a conversation.
I'm recommending the place. ☺️
Great place to gather with family and friends. Clean restaurant and toilets. Friendly staff. The food was delicious, we had halloumi and chicken skewers, chips and Mediterranean rice. Portions were good. We even had space for Baklava. We will definitely go back.
Their Pita is probably the best in town
Cold meze is another area they are very good with
Their chips(fries) are too good and crunchy
Hot meze and desserts is where i would like to see some improvements
Very dry falafels and desserts are a tad bit sweet for my liking..
But service is on par and v good vibe and environment…
Nice greek place in east london. We had Tonia buxton which means a lot of food. So if you really really hungry order these. We had to take away coz lot of it was left. Food is really good and nicely presented.
Flatbread, halloumi everything was spot on. Falalfel was a bit hard to chew and seemed to have been double cooked. Jackfruit and potatao were also really awesome.
First time here for lunch. Very nice staff and good food. They gave us a dessert for free due to late food arrival. This is really a surprise for us. Thank you! We enjoy our meal here.
Great service, traditional Greek food, nice atmosphere, clean and hygienic restaurant, polite, professional and helpful staff who are taking your order quite fast, good chef, not expensive but good prices. I recommend this restaurant. I will come again!
Okay food, with fast service. Tasty and it seemed fresh, but the food that was supposed to be warm/hot wasn't that way.
AMAZING service from Paulina and the team, food was outstanding and the management were hospitable. Head chef cooked some amazing food, so fresh and flavoursome. Will definitely be back soon. Highly reccomend!!! Such good value for money!
Great vegan options, lovely food and great service. Lunch menu is great value too.
Great Greek food!! We went at lunch time and had the lunch time deal which I got a souvlaki wrap and a side - I specifically tried the lamb meatball wrap and new potatoes as the side which was great and very filling! This cost just under £9! When ordering off the full menu they offer a 25% discount for students! 🙌🏻
