A last minute decision to pop out for some pub grub was quickly organised by the pub team despite being fully booked. We arrived to find the pub buzzing with atmosphere, with all ages represented and all being catered for with a calm air of control.
We ordered starters of Crayfish with Avocado and Tempura prawns which were all delicious, this was followed by Sea Bass and Dressed Crab and once again fab, all washed down with a lovely Shiraz, service was excellent and very friendly. And all this for under £70 for the two of us !!
The pub is well laid out and also allows well behaved dogs in and has ample parking.
Definitely worth a visit �
Great food and fantastic staff, shut all day Monday but open till 11pm every night after, can't fault the food at all, restaurant is very clean, stayed locally for 3 days and used this pub for dinners, can not recommend highly enough
Great pub good food lovely staff just maybe needs to look open during the day we were passing and until we pulled onto the car park and tried the door we weren't sure could have driven past

Fantastic meal , very friendly staff, very helpful. Have been several times but today Mother's Day was in restaurant. Excellent, would recommend.
Such a brilliant place. We decided to have a gathering here the day after our wedding to celebrate with our guests. The Crown could not have been more accommodating or gone to more effort. They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed from start to finish. The food is always delicious and top quality and the service is second to none. A special thank you to James at The Crown for all of his hard work!
First trip was for a surprise valentines meal from my husband, both never been before and was blown away. Beautiful setting, helpful and friendly staff, and the food was amazing! We live so close and definitely will be returning!!! 5 stars.

A lovely country inn with a glorious ambience. Log fires, subtle background music and space to relax. From the outset we and our dog were made very welcome. The food was excellent and we were particularly impressed with the attention we were given when asking the usual tourist questions and the not so usual request to identify the crop in the fields opposite our holiday barn. It was Winter Rapeseed by the way. We had an early Christmas dinner, just right.

Went here for a mid afternoon lunch on Sunday & not many parking spaces to choose from, so I took it was a popular place. Took a little while to get served at the bar & drinks were reasonably priced, seated quickly & prompt service asking what we wanted from the menu. I had the fried chicken with fries, slaw & beans which was very nice & my friends had the roast each, which they said was very nice also. Tasty food & the only letdown was no one came back to our table to see if we wanted dessert, which I did but ended up paying the bill & leaving dessertless :(
Pub looks like it has been updated & very nice inside & plenty of tables and the place was buzzing with the public eating & drinking.
Overall the food was very good & would go back to have another dish off the menu, will say that the Sunday menu is different to the Monday to Saturday menu as I wanted have the crown burger meal but that is not avaliable on Sundays. What i did have was very tasty and I enjoyed. Slightly dearer than some restaurants & this place does allow dogs and was 4 in there while I was eating but all of them kept under control & being "good boys & girls"

Dinner was lovely! I had the game changer starter, wasn't sure of what to expect but it was very delicious soy and chilli dressing, almost comparable to a crispy chilli beef! Turkey Christmas dinner for main - fab! Nice portion size and lovely cauliflower and broccoli cheese served alongside. Christmas pudding for dessert was divine! Ordered a white wine spritzer and only complaint (which may shock some!) was that I could have done with more lemonade and less wine 😂
Staff were really friendly and the venue was warm and welcoming. Definitely one to visit again and try the normal menu!
Had dinner here for my birthday & were not disappointed. Great food & service, even a surprise birthday dessert from the chef 😁😍 Let's keep supporting small businesses as much as we can during these uncertain times. Use them or lose them!
Theam nights are always great and the main menu is also very good. Nice wines and real ale.
Had a wonderful meal here with the family. Burgers, Pizza, Classics, would recommend all. Brownie was out of this world good. Will be back.
Nice pub which did a good Sunday roast. 4 real ales on tap so bonus there. It doesn't get 4 stars as a glass of wine was £9.20 and the barmaid tried to charge me £21 for three ciders. This was rectified with no problems.
Stunning meal at a good price. I had the fried chicken and chips with bbq beans. The beans were the best I've ever had. When you can do a simple thing to such a high standard you know your on to a winner
I've been to the crown a few times now and the food that is on offer is amazing!! My most recent visit I had the spiced lasagne and it was amazing, it should be a regular on the menu absolutely delicious. Staff are always friendly and attentive. Love this pub 😍 👌
The Kitchen slightly ahead of the front of house! My family and I ate at the Crown recently.. The Menu wasn't that extensive with the specials unavailable but what was on offer was great from what we ordered. Crunchy chips with fluffy center, steak cooked precisely to order, garlic mushrooms and pepper corn sauce all bang on.. The loss of one star is solely down to staff who really didn't appear happy, all of them that we saw with deadpan faces, not a smile amongst them.. Perhaps just having a off day and I'd go back regardless, for the Sirlion any time when in the area..

Well presented pub and I enjoyed a gluten free steak and chips with onion rings very nice. Our waitress was very good as we were a large group, wasn't till we got home I thought I don't think we tipped her apologies.

We came here in may and really enjoyed it having been here 6 months before and been disappointed. The food and service were great. Very baby friendly too with good changing facilities and pram access. Will come back. Only criticism was it seemed slightly over priced.
