This is genuinely the best Turkish restaurant in the UK. Ordered for collection - food was very good. While waiting I've been offered free Turkish tea which was lovely. Had a great chat with the waiter and also received free baklava with my order - forgot to mention the 10% discount you get on your order when you collect. This was by far the best baklava I ever had.
Fantastic food, every dish looked and tasted amazing. This was our first outing to Ela from a recommendation and so glad we came. Had a variety of meze to share amongst the table and then main dish each. Main dishes very good size portions so didn't need quite so many meze dishes. All staff were brilliant, couldn't fault anything at all. Will definitely be returning and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the restaurant. Well worth a visit.

Let's start with the booking, some weeks back, in a word, flawless. I needed a table for four, away from the door (Dec is chilly), polite, professional, and confident. The restaurant took my details, and I felt reassured my booking had been recorded. I promise this is not always the case, with all restaurants.
We were welcomed and sat as arranged away from the door. It's always the little things.
The staff were simply brilliant, none of the scripted rubbish you get from chains.
Orders were taken, help was provided, drinks arrived.
The restaurant was busy but not packed, it can feel very loud, with everyone enjoying themselves.
The food arrived, we all agreed the food was tasty and beautifuly presented. We had dessert well, the choice was mainly ice cream, which was very good, baklava was on offer as well.
All in all this is one of the best restaurants in Stowmarket, and it really is good.

We ordered mixed mezze to start (pictured) and everything was so fresh and tasted impeccable.
And for our mains they just tasted so full of flavour.
There was only 1 man there serving and he was lovely and very attentive.
We knew it was a great place when the table of (clearly) regulars were raving about how it is so incredible to us.

Second visit to Ela. Food was excellent, great size portions and very tasty. Staff very attentive and friendly. Couldn’t ask for better service even though they were very busy on a Saturday evening. Only word of advice would be to change the lighting to make it more intimate. It’s too bright and canteen like. Otherwise, well done all at Ela.

Delicious food and a very caring, attentive service. The food is well worth the money. We had the Ela platter for 2 and there was more than enough food for us both. The Turkish rice pudding was possibly my favourite desert of all time and the Turkish tea was delicious. I will 100% be returning. Well done guys and thanks for a wonderful meal.
My wife and I went to Ela restaurant yesterday for our wedding anniversary meal and enjoyed the whole experience from the greeting on arrival to the wonderful food from a excellent menu and service.
The staff were very attentive and found time to chat to us which is missing from a lot of restaurants in the UK.
We can recommend Ela if you are looking for a great meal at very reasonable prices. Karen and Kevin.
First visit cant fault it. Service excellent. Food is amazing. Chicken Sota is a must for first timers. Heavily recommend Baklava for dessert. Hopefully will be returning in the near future as im not very local.
