Complete transformation. After years of disappointment under old management, the team at the Maypole have transformed this village pub. Really warm welcome and a good selection of lager, ale, gin, rum - you name it! Friendly bar staff, sports on TV, large pool area. What more could you want! Toilets are also immaculate and the whole place is fresh and cosy. It’s lovely to see good attendance by locals - there’s a lovely atmosphere.

Haven't been in The Maypole in years, but we were in the vicinity and decided to pop in for a quick drink. What can I say? Such a lovely warm welcome from the barman, an absolutely fantastic selection of drinks and a friendly, chilled vibe. My husband and I were surprised that it was so quiet - despite being a Wednesday early evening. Such a shame that people are not using their local, especially with so many new houses being built in Elmswell & the surrounding villages. Honestly, 10 out of 10 for service & a lovely welcome. We will be incorporating The Maypole into our future country walks. Well done guys, keep up the good work! 😉👏👏👏👏

A lovely country pub with a good atmosphere and great beer selection. Kind staff and a clean interior makes for a nice place to stop on your journey. The very pretty village offers some nice walks and scenic views. The pub is well managed with friendly staff and a real old school vibe that I miss from more modern establishments. I can recommend this place as a stop if you happen to be passing.

The quintessential British pub in the heart of a village. Parking round the back. Wonderfully welcoming licencees as well 😊

Just popped in for a quick one during our walk. Nicely refurbished bar. Friendly greeting. Kitchen out of action but you can eat your take-out meals on the premises if you want. Couple of real ales and ciders. Plenty of outdoor seating. Spotless toilets.

Make sure you also, try a grab a burger located on the pub car park! Can be eaten in the pub.

What an absolutely wonderful place! We turned up with 10 kids and the hospitality was second to none! Probably the warmest welcome into a pub by locals and staff in the UK.

What a gem of a pub, the beer is excellent and not over priced, the staff are super friendly and will do anything to help, plenty of outside seating, plenty of inside seating, large screen TV, darts and a new pool table. With a kitchen being built, food is in its way. A proper village pub with lovely owners running it. It's worth my 20 minute walk to get there.
