This is a hotel run for the homeless emergency accommodation on behalf of midsuffolkbabergh Council you get a microwave kettle and fridge but you do need to supply your own cutlery crockery and suitable food to cook but you are able to order food in if your able to afford it also there is a large carpark with ample disabled parking near entrance

Having read the reviews I was a bit worried about this booking. Also on arrival, we were the only car in the massive car park! However, our experience here was fine. The receptionist was friendly and helpful with recommending taxis (town is a fair way away). We had room 14 which has all the standard amenities, such as tea, coffee, kettle, hair dryer, TV etc and is generous in size with a clean large bathroom. The bed was clean and comfortable. Parts of the hotel look a bit tired and dated, but for the price (£70) I think it's good value.

Booked a three night stay some while ago to take advantage of a discounted rate. I admit, I was a bit worried when I read the reviews. Yes, the hotel is a little tired, but a major redevelopment is imminent. The room and bathroom were clean and spacious, and everything worked. A special mention should be given to the staff, especially Shaun on reception and the lady in who took the breakfast orders , who were amazing and happy to share their local knowledge. We would certainly have no hesitation in coming back.

For the cost of this room, we arrived with little expectations. However, the staff were all super friendly, the room was comfortable, clean and had all the amenities you’d need, and the shower was fantastic. Breakfast was really very good. Couldn’t ask more for the price, thank you to the staff!

Booked a conference room to hold a meeting. Couldn't have gone more smoothly. Lovely, polite young lady on reception, greeted us, and took all the hassle away from us. Took advantage of the restaurant afterwards. Enjoyed a well prepared and reasonable priced meal. I will definitely use this establishment again. Many thanks to all the staff for making our visit so pleasant.

My boyfriend and I went to visit Suffolk in August 2020 and stayed there for 3 nights. We were greeted by a nice, friendly lady at 9pm and given a comfortable room at the corner of the hotel block. It's a pretty basic hotel, the room was very 90s, good toilet, nice shower cubicle, good quality shower gel, towels etc. Parking was next to the hotel, lots of flyers for tourist attractions were available too. On asking we were given a replenishment of decaff coffee, canderel and skimmed milk pots. Good hotel overall with a bar and restaurant downstairs that offer local cheeses and ham. No complaints in particular although the room carpets deserve a deep clean. Rates per night were good. I enjoyed my stay and would go back in the future.

We stayed at the Cedars hotel in a family room on 3rd Feb and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There was a 21st birthday party and the manager informed us of this at check in so we were aware there would be a disco up to midnight. There were no worries of the sound spoiling our sleep as our room was far enough away not to be disturbed by it. Although the decor in the Hotel looks a little dated, the character of the hotel (a 16th Century farm house) is so quirky and quaint and it's historic charm can be seen. Our 8 year old loved walking through the corridors and stairs to our tucked away room. The room was clean, warm, comfortable and very well equipped, it met the needs of our overnight stay perfectly. We hadn't booked a table for an evening meal as we weren't sure of our arrival time but the staff fitted us in even though they were fully booked. The meal portions were huge and the quality of the food was superb. Breakfast was a relaxed affair with a typical layout of Continental and cooked breakfast on offer. The cooked breakfast was delicious, a great start to the day! The staff in this hotel were welcoming and friendly, giving great service even though it was a very busy evening for them!

Brilliant little hotel with charming personnel. Good veg noodles Thai style and a splendid Eton mess dessert. Breakfast was basic but tasty. The shower was ample enough and the hotel was quiet. I will definitively come back

Great place, interior felt a little dated (although just a personal observation) but it was clean and well presented. Staff were helpful and polite, although the front desk was left with no one, not a problem but there was no way to call someone over (a buzzer or bell for example). Great stay otherwise though. Food was good to.

Great value for money. Very helpful staff. Not the best building or location but with the very few options around Stowmarket, solid choice

Absolutely top 3* hotel. Yes, they have been held up with renovations with Covid. I had a huge room, with huge bed. Stayed 5 nights, when I booked they clearly explained about breakfast being grab a bag and meals being limited. .Staff very helpful will stay again, only gave 4 stars just because it will look better when they get their renovations completed.

The main part of the hotel is a 17th Century listed building. It could do with a refurb, but please "don't harm the charm" Very clean, very helpful nice staff, and the breakfast was excellent. The bar was a bit damp smelling, but what do you expect. Will stay there again.

This was a good choice eve if the heating wasn't working quite right. The food was very good. Bed comfortable and the location is excellent for the main arterial routes around the East of England. Happy to use it next time I have an early meeting in that part of the world.
