A great place, fairly easy to find, very easy to park.
Extensive grounds that are worth the walk to see. A great variety of artefacts, animals and buildings to see.
The shop is good and the cafe very good.
A lot of the equipment is unrestored which, personally, I think adds to the attraction. The staff (volunteers I believe) are friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful.
The whole experience is varied and interesting, definitely worth a visit.
We are very likely to go again.

An amazing place, every member of the staff were so helpful and polite.
Especially Mal,very happy to oblige with our request.
The walled garden was a delight, pot painting was fun.
The Gypsy Vardo, another highlight a memorable day.
I can still see the glorious Copper Beech tree in my minds eye.
All of this beauty and peace in a town centre.
A fantastic place to meet friends and have a bite to eat. Always tempted by their breakfast which is freshly cooked and great value for money. Staff are friendly and willing to cater for dietary needs. Keep up the good work
We've just moved to Stowmarket from San Fransisco and the museum has become a community of new friends for my toddler and I, it's a quintessentially English place and feeding the lambs made our Easter - <3 it! The staff are very friendly too.
Great place for a day out with loads of special open days held during the summer months... a chance to get a rare glimpse into life in rural Suffolk across a selection of bygone eras... especially how a Victorian village and farm worked.... and what rural life was like in the early- and mid-20th century. Also several exhibits that help to depict the ever changing scene as the industrial revolution provided new solutions to the farming community.
I attended the EATMD in the Museum,September 3rd.Wonderful place.staff and volunteers all very helpful. Music in all areas of the museum.Well done Katie. Thanks to staff and organising committee. So efficiently organised.R
So we go regularly to the museum as we have an annual pass. However on Sunday it was for my sons birthday party. Wow oh wow what a fantastic time was had by all. Jo the party organiser is so engaging with the children of all ages. So welcoming and we even went over on our time. If you are looking for a children's birthday party then look no further. I will be rebooking. Thank you to everyone who works there you do a fantastic job xx

We had a great day out fantastic value for money, everyone was so helpful and friendly. We will come again. Thanks
it was an educational experience to know how things used to be in those days its good that the younger generation can learn about how things used to be
A really friendly and welcoming cafe that’s moved from the museum to Stowmarket church in recent years.
There’s plenty of tables which is good as the Osier’s a popular spot for lunch. It’s a really unique cafe because of the church location.
We all enjoyed our food. The rainbow salad with felafel was lovely and the quiche was really nice too and was served with a salad and baked potato. The portion sizes are generous and reasonably priced too. There’s an excellent selection of cakes on the slices of cake are large!
I’d happily recommend the Osier cafe to others.
Incredible service and delicious food, great spot to grab some lunch I'd recommend to everyone
My son takes singing lessons in Stowmarket and we discovered this little gem of a café which is literally a 3 minute walk from his teacher's place 🥰 the food is hearty and delicious, the cakes are divine and coffee and teas great! The place is located within the church and has got a welcoming atmosphere, great place for families with young children as it's spacious and great if you have dogs too!! The staff are courteous and efficient. Will definitely back again very soon.

And we've come back!! The veggie quiche with salad and jacket potato was yummy, the coffe walnut cake and bakewell tart delicious and of course, the all day English breakfast is amazing!! Needless to say the coffees are spot on 💛
I had thought it might be a bit grim sitting in the back of the church for a coffee - not at all. The Osier Cafe is a lovely, welcoming space which is bright, airy and warm. The serving staff were jolly and polite. Latte was good and victoria sponge just superb and the cakes on offer looked delicious - we had trouble choosing!
Lovely and gentle staff!!! Very tasty breakfast and Cake's 😋 On top their Charity-way absolute great!!!
Most amazing place great if u have kids they a toys and a comfy part x x
Highly recommend paying a visit. I had the big breakfast and was very good plate of food for a 6ft 5 carpenter it filled me up for the day. Will be back again
Nice range of food cake good service out side seating fair prices
New to Stowmarket and have spent each weekend over the last 3 months sampling the fried breakfast within 10 miles at a different establishment each time.
I'll be back just for the breakfast alone but the great/friendly service, cleanliness and good cause (warm fuzzy feeling included even as an atheist) are the cherry on top.
Both egg yolks were runny, toast buttered and bacon actually fried (side eye to you lime tree with the single hard egg no matter how many visits are made or wetherspoons with the microwaved pale pork and rock hard butter)
I only wish that they had the sign on the main road so I had found it sooner
My first review in these 3 months
Excellent food and friendly staff. A lovely place to eat lunch.
