Fantastic! The cheese scone with chilli jam and cream cheese was one of the nicest things I have ever eaten! Topped off with a pot of Earl grey. Lovely food, lovely place :)
Beautiful, cosy . Loved my one night really wished the weather had been better for exploring so I could have stayed another night. Clean , charming well presented an added touch with little treats to accompany the many choices of tea and coffee and after a long day to snuggle into that lovely bed with a mug of hot chocolate. Then if it wasn’t enough a full English. Cooked beautifully. Extremely lovely staff and owners pleasent and chatty and would throughly recommend. When I get the chance to visit the Cotswolds again will definitely check to see if Lucy’s Tearoom has space. Would love to go in the summer and sit in the little garden with my dinner , only downside is people walking to the toilets but that is why you have curtains and really wouldn’t have realised as the room is so snug and cosy.
If you find yourself in Stow at tea/coffee time, I can really recommend this lovely little tea room in the square, wonderful cakes (Bara brith just as good as the Welsh stuff) great latte, there's also outside seating in the rear garden area perfect on a sunny day 😁
Lovely location, bags of character, great food and fantastic service. Even the loos were spotless. A superb place to stop for a bit to eat. Highly recommended.
Lovely place great food and drink and excellent staff, well worth a visit.
Stopped by Lucy's tea room as staying at Stow-On-The-Wold for the week. Beautiful homemade scones with all the cream tea trimmings and delicious cakes of Bakewell tart and ginger cake.
Excellent service and able to pay by card. Highly reccomend.
Called in this afternoon for a cream tea. The tearoom was really busy, but service was friendly and quick - and every element of the cream tea was perfect. Absolutely delicious - and lovely to have "proper" loose leaf tea too. Will definitely be visiting again next time we're in Stow!
Lovely friendly service. Tea & homemade scones where amazing... so glad we popped in. Highly recommend a visit.
Me and my husband had the most amazing breakfast at Lucy's today. So tasty.
Such a relaxing place to be with friendly welcoming staff what a great way to start off our Sunday!
Amazing cake, wonderful service and lovely atmosphere. I regularly pop in for afternoon tea, but also take away cake when I don't have time to stop. The jams, marmalades and chutneys are great, my favourite is the raspberry jam! I can't recommend Lucy's highly enough!
Delicious afternoon tea with perfectly fresh scones and good quality loose leaf tea. A very pleasant tea room we found only after every other one in Stow turned us away as it was nearing 5pm on a half-term weekday (only the last as it was furthest from the car!).
Loved Lucy's tea room. Was very quaint. We had the special tea and everything was perfect, don't k ow how they do it for the money it cost! Great value
Lucy's tea rooms amazing tea n scones were amazing. Do soup was too filling...
The taste was delicious 😋.. Wonderful place. We had visited dia place in December 2017 n still reminisce da taste of each and every palette. Wud luv to go again dere.. Wonderful place..... Staff courteous n friendly.
A Quaint tearoom with a small outdoor garden sit out. A family and friends run place so you will need to be patient with the service. Lovely tea cakes and brews. Just the place to sit down with your cuppa and relax after all that walking along the country side. Do stop by to experience the charm of the old world. 😊
Ordered the high tea – two types of sandwiches (tuna; egg salad), two types of cakes (walnut and coffee cake, Bakewell tart), and cream tea. The sandwiches were made freshly on the spot, there was a good selection of tea cakes (the walnut and coffee cake was nice and interesting) and the cream tea was quite good. Lovely area at the back. There was a little bit of wait for the food to be ready, since they made them on the spot. The waitress informed the customers first before they decided to sit down.
It’s late afternoon and we’ve arrived at Stow in the Wold in the Cotswolds. After a wander through the town centre we’re feeling rather peckish and eye off the very cute Lucy’s Tearooms with pretty hanging baskets in full bloom and white wrought iron furniture
We had an amazing time staying at the B&B at Lucy’s Tearoom! They offer 2 guest suites, one on ground floor and one right above on first floor. We stayed in the ground floor suite. Our room was cozy and very clean. One thing to keep in mind is you can hear footsteps if someone is staying in the suite above you. Breakfast was included, and was DELICIOUS!! We chose The Full English, and it was one of the best breakfasts of our trip. Check in and check out were easy. My only regret was we didn’t stay longer!! Highly recommend, and we would stay again!
We didn't stay at the B&B, hence no rating, but the Tearoom was fantastic. Just coffee and a cheese scone; for us, personal water bowl and treats for our dog. Similar for the other guests, personal bowl of fresh water delivered to the table out in the garden. From speaking to the other people in the garden, the standard of refreshments was consistently excellent, staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely go back when we next visit Stow-on-the-Wold.
£8 is a bit steep for tea and carrot cake but both were absolutely superb (loose-leaf tea, moist homemade cake). Lovely service too. Pretty little place right on the market square.
We stopped to have some tea, coffee and scones. The warm drinks were delicious. The cheese scone served with chutney was very good. Great service
Lovely afternoon tea and a pretty fast flow of people in and out so you don't have to wait long, if at all. I would heartily recommend this place. Large portions. Friendly servers. Laid back atmosphere. Not too pricey. Pretty decor and lovely building. I wish they had some information posted about the history of the building/location as it seems like a very special place and I was curious!
Sat upstairs by the Munson with views over the square. Had fish finger sandwich which was lovely. Was planning to head off but decided on cake and coffee, as the sandwich was so good. Not disappointed! Lovely friendly staff….
Had lunch at Lucy's Tearoom. Coming from the States, we were in love at first bite. By far one of the best meals we've had on our trip to the Cotswolds. I would highly recommend Lucy's Tearoom to any and all. The tea options and flavors were delightful and delicious!
This was the first place we have ever had afternoon tea. We weren't sure what to order and asked quite a few questions. The staff was helpful and friendly. The portions were large. The scones were amazing. We were excited to have a seat by the front window. It was a lovely experience for us.
Stopped here on Saturday afternoon whilst visiting the Cotswolds. Had seen it recommended on the internet so made a bee line to the cafe for lunch. Kept waiting at the door for a few minutes then eventually sat down at a recently vacated table. The table was very small for 4 people & the chairs a little uncomfortable. I had the breakfast bap which was delicious, tasty ingredients & well cooked. Service was slow & had to ask twice to order cake after our lunch. Seemed a little disorganised, lady who served us was very pleasant & efficient (dark hair in bun, older lady).
The muffins and the breakfast here was lovely. The cream and jam was superb. Come here to have a meal...and be amazed by the food. Service was good too!
We had tea, coffee and a scone each, mine was gluten free, the best gf scone I've had for years. Jam and cream , delicious. Good service. 10 out of 10 👍🏻.
Best warm, light and fresh made to order scones we ever had in their beautiful courtyard seating area.
Would highly recommend for anyone visiting Cotswolds.
What a great place. Most beautiful scones - beyond perfect. Wonderful food and wonderful staff. Would highly recommend. Best afternoon tea
We came here for tea and a snack in the afternoon and were very happy that we chose this place. It´s so sweet, food and tea was delicious and everybody was very friendly and welcoming.
Lucy's Tearoom is also a b&b. They have two rooms on the back garden. The tea room is open from 10 am to 4 pm so it can be noisy during those times, however, check in isn't until 3pm and check out is at 11 so really it's not much of an issue.
We had the downstairs room. It was the best room we've had in England thus far on our trip and we're on day 8. The bedroom and the bathroom were both good sized rooms. The bedroom had a sitting chair, which is a first for us in the UK. The bed
was soft and comfy as were the pillows. There is a tea/ coffee/ hot chocolate station in the room. There's a smart TV so you can log into any of your home apps and watch.... if that's what you need to do.
The bathroom is sizeable and comes with shampoo, conditioner, bath gel and body lotion. There are places to put your personal items, which again, is a first for us in the UK.
Check in is super easy. If there is a line out the door, just excuse yourself and walk through. Tell the staff you need to check in and the owner will be with you shortly. The owners were super friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Obviously there are a lot of choices for both tea and coffee. Our waitress was a delight.
Our only complaint is that we did not book ourselves in for two days instead of 1. We highly recommend Lucy's tea room.
My husband and I are going for a round trip in UK. Stopped by for a cream tea- we had the best scone here in UK. It is slightly crunchy outside and soft inside, also best value for money.
I’ve wanted to come here for tea since I saw the place on Instagram years ago. My boyfriend and I recently made a trip to the Cotswolds and we knew we needed to stop by! The cream tea was AMAZING! the staff were super sweet even though they were very busy. The entire place is so beautiful! My only concern was that the ceiling in the main floor is badly bowed in. We sat upstairs and the floor was slanted badly, and you could feel the floor shake every time someone walked. I’m sure they’re aware of it, I’m just so anxious that the floor would give way! I love Lucy’s and I’d be devastated if anything like that happened! Please go there and try the scones! We loved it!
We stopped off for lunch, it was the best meal we've had in the Cotswolds. Scones and teas are absolutely lovely. We also had paninis which we're great. There's a very cute courtyard in the back for dining.
