I've just had afternoon tea here with two friends and it was fantastic. Lots of variety to eat, choice of teas, endless hot water for the tea. Clotted cream scones all home made. To cap it all a very helpful and friendly young lady to serve us. Nothing was too much trouble for her. If you haven't been yet it's a must. A lovely time was had by us. Thank you.

This is the 2nd time I've eaten here and we did not leave disappointed. I came in Friday lunchtime with my friend. We both had three courses. We went for the prawn cocktail and pate. Mains were gammon and mini fish and chips. The fish was cooked to perfection and tasted delicious! Smaller portions but perfect if you're looking at the three courses for Ā£12. The desserts finished us off perfectly. Will definitely be back!

Dropped in for a meal in the Lounge bar and tried some of the offerings on the "Light Bites" menu two courses for Ā£8 and it proved tasty and excellent value. Some pubs offer titchy portion sizes when offering Light Bites, The Dog however are far from stingy, well worth checking out. The drinks are well priced too, which is good. Nice pub, friendly staff, we'll be back.

Well, Gary, what can I say? An absolutely fabulous meal. Your wonderful Waitress. She was lovely. The meal? You excelled yourself bud. And a doggy bag to take home. price wise? You expect to pay more, when it is par excellence. The Wine? Lovely chilled and to my liking. I will certainly be returning again. A personal note: Gary thanks for being so helpful this Morning Sunday, regarding my jacket. You went that extra mile to try and find it. Thanks once again. Cannot wait until my next visit. This month September around the 15 and 16th. Congratulations, you passed big time, my taste test All the Best Nigel, Stourport

First time weā€™d tried The Dogā€™s new Tuesday Takeaway Pie Night. And it was excellent. Superb steak and kidney pie. They even served up extra gravy but there was no need. It was moist enough and delicious. The only reservation was whether it would be hot enough by the time we got home. But we had no worries on that score, even though we got delayed. Even half an hour after weā€™d picked it up we still didnā€™t have to go through the faff of having to warm it up! Will definitely do this again!

A really quaint village pub, located in an idealistic setting. The owners, staff and locals, are always so welcoming and friendly. They also used to run a Bed & Breakfast, although I'm not quite sure, if this is still the case, so better check beforehand, but it was always well maintained and fully booked. Indicating how accommodating they really are. The Snug is my favourite, the quirky, little room, with just enough room for a family, it was a welcoming surprise, and the true hidden gem of the pub too.

What a lovely meal we had here. I had the Sirloin steak, and my wife had the fish pie. Both were excellent, and the steak was cooked perfectly rare, as requested. Beer was great and the service was very friendly and prompt. I would certainly recommend this as somewhere to stop for some food or beer.

I don't really want to give away this secret little gem but I have to! Old fashioned country pub with a log burner and sofa's in one corner, a fabulously designed bar in the other, with just a few tables in the middle. So cosy and cute. Then out came the food..... remember not to eat for the whole day - they are huge!! Cooked to perfection with a wide range on the menu. If you're a fish lover you won't be disappointed with the variety of options. The gourmet chips are lovely and I'm not a chip fan. Great service, so friendly with very reasonable prices. Nothing is too much trouble with all the staff saying hi and checking to see everything is ok. Full to bursting, we wondered out the back (one way due to Covid) and found not only a play area for the kids but a fish pond in a beautifully kept garden area. Lots of car parking spaces too. What a find, will definitely be going back. Photos are of the fish & chips Ā£9 & hunters chicken Ā£9.50
