The Red Lion is a fantastic pub in Amblecote. The decor is contemporary but still retains a relaxed, cozy atmosphere. It has a great team of staff who are both pleasant and efficient. There are always plenty of them on duty aswell so you're not waiting for ages to be served - even at busy times! They do a selection of bar meals/snacks - burgers, baps, chips scotch eggs etc which are always fresh and taste lovely! This pub has a great atmosphere and seems to have recaptured the essence of what pubs used to be like "in the good old days" which shows in the wide variety of people that it attracts from teens to retired! Would highly recommend a visit!!

Fab pub. Great atmosphere. Food lovely. Would recommend to chicken tikka wrap with home made chips. £4. Went to the Christmas sing along complete with christmas jumpers. Great fun! Good beer garden. Shame the marquee has had to come down, fingers crossed for a dry summer

Really lovely pub, lots of ales if you're a fan too. The food is amazing so order early because they do run out. Dog friendly too which is amazing for round here. You won't be disappointed.

Nice local pub serving a range of beers, lagers and wine. Theme nights throughout the week. Burger night Thursday which is super. Really nice outside seating area at the rear of the pub.

Unexpectedly we had to nip into The Red Lion for a light bite Sunday lunch. What a find! Cracking menu, specials board and fine selection of beers and spirits. Beware of the food! Great presentation and generous portions. Bar staff were helpful, friendly and polite, as were the customers. I'm a Brummie in exile, down towards the West Country, and had forgotten how good the Midlands hospitality is. You have to go a long way to find a pub as good as this, in fact we did...about 80 miles.

Lovely food. Saw photos online and thought we’d give it a try. Definitely recommend. We had the lion burger dirty fries, chicken burger loaded fries, absolutely brilliant. 👌🏻

This establishment offers a fantastic variety of local beers and cocktails at reasonable prices, and it boasts a delightful beer garden. We placed an order for food, which was promptly delivered by the kitchen staff. The food not only arrived quickly but was also excellent, especially considering the price. The only minor quirk we noticed was that all the food was served in branded cardboard boxes. These boxes, while convenient, have a tendency to make food sweat due to their design. Typically, you'd expect food to be served on plates in a pub, so this was a bit unusual. Nevertheless, it was a minor inconvenience that didn't significantly detract from the overall experience.

Brilliant little gem of a pub hidden away at the bottom of Brettel Lane. Very nicely done out inside. Cosy little place. Some lovely little features. I wish this was within walking distance to my house. Loved it here. We had planned on going pub to pub, but decided to stay here all night. Says a lot really.

Lovely little pub. I went there for my friends daughter's Birthday. It was a very nice experience, the staff very friendly and the food was very nice as they do home cooked chips not the frozen ones which most places use. The prices are good too so will definitely be going again 👍
