It proved to be a very good choice for 3 reasons.
Location was relatively good for all of those attending the re-union.
The staff were brilliant, friendly, helpful, and very accommodating.

Visited on Bank holiday Monday, it wasn't busy when we arrived so I was surprised we had exactly 1 hr wait for our food. I don't know if there was a problem in the kitchen.
But when the food did arrive it was excellent, highly recommend, will go again..
French Hen has always been my favourite place for Sunday dinner. Portions are vast everything cooked perfectly. Only let down Dauphinois potatoes are no longer server

Popped here for a bite to eat at lunch time. Had a lovely steak and onion baguette and beer moretti on tap. Very old traditional pub style.
Large group of us came here (20+). Starters very generous. Main meals very good (we had pre-ordered). Large portions of dessert. Finished with a Bailey’s coffee. Helpful staff. Disabled members used ground floor gents-wouldnt be a problem in France! Will come again.
We had booked for a 90th party for 15 of us. We had the side room to ourselves. Fabulous selection of starters, omg the Brie wedges huge and gorgeous.
Staff lovely & friendly.Mains just as good. We had brought a Cake & staff came in with candles lit. Really made the Birthday Girls day.

The village of Clent always delivers for me. Such great memories as a child and still today. The French Hen is one of those Inns that's not a prescribed 'formula' pub. Great character and lovely staff. Highly recommended.
