I rarely visit anywhere other than Merchants Stourbridge for fish and chips. Great value for money, always fresh food and fast service, friendly staff. Chips are the best I've ever tasted.
Tonight I've tried their new vegetarian platter, and for £4 I am absolutely stuffed! Battered mushrooms, onions rings and halloumi, with a fresh salad and a sauce. I love that they offer alternatives to the traditional fish and chips as well as great tasting classics!

Last night was my very first Merchants fish & chips. I have to have gluten free and I can honestly say it was absolutely delicious. I had the calamari special and battered haloumi. So yummy! The service was excellent - friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend them. As Arnie says "I'll be back!" 5�
Gluten free chips and curry sauce, the best ever. Never had chip shop food for over 2 years. We love Merchants food and only one of us is gluten free. Friendly staff too and a lovely park near by to eat your chips!
Best fish & chip shop around, by far. Shop is spotless, staff are lovely and the food is consistently good. Plenty parking & food is still hot when we get it home. ( Salads pretty fab too .. but that’s another story � )
We are a family of five who live 15/20 minutes away from Stourbridge, we always use merchants, we've tried a variety of different things and never once had a bad meal from there and it's always still piping hot when we get home. The staff are friendly, fast and efficient
Amazing fish and chips again last night, don't go anywhere else now a days, cod is so fresh and tasty, never had a bad meal from here, thoroughly recommend

Was lucky enough to have fish and chips from Merchants Stourbridge on Friday night whilst visiting the area from Leeds. I have to say these were the best I have had in a very long time!! Huge portions with very tasty top quality fish!! Last time I had fish and chips this good was when I visited the Magpie in Whitby which is a true compliment !!! Will definitely be returning when next in the area. Thank you

I'm from Telford and we have a merchants chip shop best one by far. Staff are so helpful I've coeliac disease and the manager knew all about it I was well impressed.
Quick service considering how busy they were. Good food. GF options. They even steamed rather than battered some cod for us.

At Merchants you are definitely going to get a very good meal - guaranteed! They are multiple award winners in their category. I have been using this place for many years, even from their first opening & I've never had anything to complain about, with the food & they keep the place spotlessly clean.

Wife's gluten free fish was beautiful would have given 5 stars if staff had been more pleasant have been since and staff very pleasant and helpful now given 5 stars must have been a bad day
Best fish & chips in the Midlands and with the app you can order online and turn up and collect at front of line well worth it on busy days.
Although some customers get cross and think your cutting the line be helpful to have a designated collection point.
Great food. Chips are better than anywhere around, fish is always top quality and way bigger than you get elsewhere. Kebabs are far better than any other chip shop I've been to, salad is always fresh and the kebab meat is better quality and not greasy like most places. Portion sizes in general are very good.
Awesome food but service could be better
I have yet to try the fish, but I can speak of the donner and I will say its solid. Went large and it did the job, the meat is up there and was pleased to see some chunky cuts in there (its what the fans want). The chips are of a good standard, only feedback would be on the curry sauce, nice enough but wasn't blown away
