This pub isn't local to us but we wanted to try somewhere different, and were not disappointed. The building and grounds were very nice, and the food was really good, with plenty to choose from on the menu, and reasonable prices all things considered. I had the steak and ale pie which was excellent. I would highly recommend visiting if you get a chance. Also thank you to our waitress Gloria for excellent service.

Eat here regularly and have never been disappointed. The menu changes often to give a great selection and the quality of the food is wonderful. Loads of parking and a beautiful building with lots of nooks to turn a large dining area into smaller intimate places to sit and enjoy a meal. Lovely outdoor seating too. Great selection of drinks and a spacious function room upstairs. It’s a stunning Manor House so even the toilets are beautiful!

First time here after it being recommended & went with my 2 daughters. Surroundings are lovely & couldn't be bettered so close to a major residential area! The service was faultless & the staff seemed to really enjoy what they were doing - a real bonus compared to some places! As gastro pubs go, the food here is a cut above whats on offer at some places! Recommended!

Took our dog for a walk around the self guided walk (leaflets in foyer of pub) and then treated ourselves to a Bank Holiday lunch in the dog friendly section of the restaurant. Food good and service good.

First time here, setting inside was first class, service was good, had to wait a while for mains, Starter and main course were both amazing Crab arancini, Game suet pudding were both first class, but dessert, I had waffle not good, I do far better at home. The music that was playing over the speakers was just pop and did not match the dining experience so there was no atmosphere and it was a little noisy as well. Also the car park was very dark and being the first time did not know how to get out. For me change the music in the dining area, take waffles off the menu, and light and sign exit clearer on car park. I did have a good night and would return but I expected a lot more...

Walked to the this place on a Sunday afternoon and just had a few pints and a bowl of the Parmesan truffle fries, enjoyed it very much so! Lots of space outside to sit, and the inside is absolutely amazing! Such a beautiful place (with, I think, THE nicest ladies bathroom I have ever seen!) Will definitely be going back to try more from the food menu!
