For the customer service and the way the chef looking after the customers - very impressed
He even came out and having chat with us + customers
Wheelchair accessible
When it come to cakes- he has nailed the textures and quality but only suggestion is bit sweeter than we have expected.
10% less sweetness will blow them out of the park- our POV.
We have seen his statues- he has made from scratch (salt and sugar) - amazing talented chef.
Very reasonable prices and they do cake orders for parties
Parking not available next to the shop but if you are lucky you will get the street parking with 3 mins walking.
Would defo visit again
Only noticed this place today as its situated at the top of the high street. The cakes are very fancy and a nice size. There's a large selection to choose from. I had a black forest gateaux, which was £3.25. My partner had a very nice crepe, with fruit and sugar. We had a latte and a hot chocolate, both of which were nice. The staff were friendly and accommodating. This place is a nice change from Costa. Total cost was £12.15. The shops only quite small, but worth a visit.
Lovely little cafe. Savoury pancake for lunch was delicious. A good selection of fresh homemade cakes and lovely coffee which is not bitter. Friendly staff a pleasure to visit
Very delightful place to dine. The owner is so pleasant and everything is cooked on site.
If you have a sweet tooth. I recommend the pancakes or waffles for breakfast.
The ice cream they sell is to die for.
The best savoury pancake I’ve ever had. The cakes and sweet pancakes with ice cream were just as delicious. Lovely atmosphere and wonderful service. I highly recommend this place to everyone.
Beautiful and delicious cakes. Glad to have popped into for a cake and coffee. Friendly and welcoming environment. They also do Cream teas, high teas, waffles, crepes and also cakes for any occasion. Apart from cakes, they also serve 22 different flavours of Icecream/Gelato.
Been here several times and I can’t believe I haven’t left a review before. Haven’t had a single miss in the two and a half years I’ve been having cakes here, I’d recommend this place to anyone - and the service is as good as the cakes!
Baby Shower
We held a surprise baby shower recently at Surantha’s. It was prefect. We used the upstairs room and were given plenty of time to decorate it.
Every part of the tea was excellent the sandwiches, scones, tiny lemon meringue pies, individual crème brûlée’s and the patisserie cakes. Fresh tea and coffee.
Everyone was so full that we all had a goodie box to take home to share with others ( well maybe)
Amazing price £15.95 each.
We would thoroughly recommend it
An absolute must visit - the chef is always friendly and very passionate about his work and the cakes are just incredible, everything we've had so far has been more than worth the money, we will be coming back again
My husband and I did not want a traditional birthday cake for our son so instead decided to order different varieties of pastries and other desserts. While browsing the Internet we came across Surantha Patisserie website. As the shop already had brilliant reviews we decided to go to the shop to check it out ourselves. We not only recieved the best customer service but the pastries and creme brule were delicious. The owner recommended us his best sellers and his own favourites and they truly were the best we have had so far. The kids loved the chocolate éclairs and my favourite was the red velvet cake and carrot cake. My husband enjoyed creme brule. The guests were truly happy with chocolate opera and black forest cake. Definitely recommend everyone out there who haven't visited the shop to try their desserts. You won't be disappointed. Next time we will definitely be trying in house made waffles and crepes along with nice cup of coffee.
