Had the Sunday Lunch, both the lamb and the beef were excellent, the roast spuds were crunchy, the Yorkshires huge and a good selection of veg.

Great Tapas, we will be back with friends. Storrington needs alternative places to eat and the White horse has got it right. I'm looking forward to trying the Sunday lunch menu.

Staff extremely welcoming and nice. Hotel is upstairs the pub so very close for a little refreshment after work. Good point is that even if the pub is downstairs you don't hear anything, no noise at all when you are in your room. Room cleaned every day, nice style. Close to restaurant/takeaway. Would recommend definitely.

What a fantastic pub. What fantastic people...both the staff and the locals. Myself and my partner were affably greeted by Leon (the manager) who made us feel very welcome and was the perfect host from when we came first through the door to when we left the next day. All of the staff were friendly yet professional, polite and courteous. Some live music, a lovely open fire and a wonderful room to retire to...spacious, clean and tastefully decorated. We happened on the White Horse purely by chance. And once we'd found it, we decided to stay the night. We will definitely be returning - again and again - to this hidden gem in the heart of the South Downs. Thank you Leon and your team - so nice to find a proper old school pub, with proper people, and to spend some quality time there. Top o' the range.

Great service experience - We had a slight issue the first night. We mentioned it to the proprietor at breakfast and he got sorted for us by the time we got back in the afternoon. The bacon and sausages at breakfast were delicious and the ensuite had a good size shower with decent pressure. Situated right in the centre of town with a convenient car park. Very easy to explore the Wild Brooks, South Downs or just wander gently about town. The pub itself is also nice for sitting in for a pint and a meal.

Stayed 2 nights over the weekend and just as the new owners had taken over. Gotta say they are both top blokes. Made me my wife and little daughter feel so welcomed. They couldn’t do enough for us. The room was very spacious and clean. Breakfast in the morning very good and the bar is very welcoming and enjoyable. Will definitely be staying again when back down that neck of the woods.

Very comfortable, large bed. Very spacious room with en suite with a practical shower, something of a rarity in hotels these days. Breakfast both mornings were brilliant, full English day one, fried bacon and scrambled egg day two. Had two meals in room in evening, both very tasty and reasonably priced. Only drawback was room was at front of hotel and traffic noise got a bit tedious. Would have no hesitation recommending this hotel to friends.

A lovely overnight stay. Arrived quite early and wasn't really expecting to be able to check in. But the owner was obliging and showed me to my comfy room...very pleased as the weather had turned cold and wet on my South Downs walk. Warm room with a powerful shower. Enjoyed a simple but nicely-cooked meal at a reasonable price in the bar whilst chatting to the friendly owner. Coffee was particularly good! I can't fault the White Horse ....relaxed, efficient..and service with a smile! Thank you

Stayed here for a weekend a few weeks ago as my son's wedding was nearby. Comfortable and clean rooms and a fantastic breakfast. Very good value for money. We took over the whole hotel and we got first class service from the staff and owners. Thank you.

Very quiet. Staff extremely pleasant, courteous and helpful. Due to COVID, no coffee/tea making facilities and breakfast served in room. Food hot and well presented. Great price for nice, clean hotel. Would definitely use again.

I had a pleasant night here. Staff were friendly and service was good. Room was comfortable and everything worked with a good shower facility. Breakfast in the morning was good. I'd stay there again. It's an old Inn with rooms, not everything is perfect but it's comfortable enough and value for money.

Needs longer curtain poles and wider curtains at the window so the daylight doesn't peak through early morning but other than that little moan, was a nice room, very clean, comfy bed, nice shower, friendly staff and we finished our stay with a lovely cooked breakfast with plenty of choice. Will definitely stay again if we're in the area.

Lovely hotel, friendly efficient staff. Good food and beer. Only caveat is no lift (Grade 1 listed). If you have mobility issues, check which level your room will be.

Nice little hotel. Had a clean comfortable room at the back of the hotel (109 I think) altho on the small side was perfect for me. Breakfast was great! Well cooked and not greasy.
