Friendly staff, had a nice chicken chow mein with my onion intolerance accommodated with no problems, and a lovely mint lemonade complete with garnishes.
This was an amazing meal. First time outside of Hong Kong I had ramen and it was really tasty. Would have preferred bigger noodles and larger pieces of veg but was very tasty. I also had duck and it was perfectly cooked. Staff was very attentive and the value was great.
Great friendly service, yummy food and a quite full for a Wednesday night when we went. Would go again, couldn’t ask more from a chinese!

Great Chinese restaurant. Reasonably priced (prawn crackers, a portion of rice, chips, two mains and three drinks was £33). It was quiet when we went in. Food came out piping hot and was delicious.
It's one of only three places we found in Stornoway that was open for dinner on a Sunday (though we ate there on a Monday). Lost a star as other than salt and pepper there's no condiment (I asked for sweet chilli as a dipping sauce with my main).
Would recommend Golden Ocean and would dine there again.
Friendly and fast service . Restaurant and take away. Lots of choice and licensed . They have a mild traditional curry sauce and spring rolls are small but there is 3 in a portion and if you're not looking to melt you're taste buds off then it a great curry
Reasonably priced Chinese restaurant. The Chinese food here is nice and we stopped off here because we where hungry and needed to grab a bite to eat before heading for a train and only had 50 mins to do so. This restaurant got our meals in great time, we even had time to spare. Would recommend for a quick bite. Service here was also excellent.
Golden Ocean saved our butts when us tourists were caught out when everything closed on a Sunday. The vegetarian dishes we had were top notch. Thank you!
In a small town on a cycle tour of the Hebrides where almost everything else was closed, this was the perfect place to get nourishing takeaway for two pescetarians. I especially recommend the vegetarian spring rolls, which are homemade and fresh, and worth two servings!
Absolutely delicious food! Fair priced! It just takes a few minutes to get my order! Highly recommended 😉. Will go there more often!
We were on the Isle for 3 and a half days and we ate here twice. This isn't the 'americanized' Chinese food - it's better! It's also the only time we ate non Scottish food.
Authentic Peking and Cantonese cuisine cooked to order in 5 minutes, what's not to like? Could have been juicier but I ate the meal after 45 minutes or so and it was still warm and satisfying.
